Wow, I just went through this thread.. sorry to chime in late but that pink city transformation is amazing!!! Glad to know who I can turn to if my bag ever got to that state....

I've been using AG cleaner on my light colored b-bag between every few uses because it dirties fast, especially when I wear my black pull over sweater. But the AG cleaner has been able to take it out every time without consequences. It still looks like it was when I first got it... maybe even better because the bag was kind of dirty when I first got it (it was used). Just thought I'd share... :smile:

guys, the bag on the website in this thread is mine. i was shocked to see pix of it bc i had nor gotten it back from lovinmybags.com yet. i did get the bag back today and barbara was very apolegetic for not telling me she was using my pix in her website and offered to take them down. i told her to leave them for now since they were already posted on a forum i was associated with. my bag is a bubblegum pink work i sent her bc it did have black transference ON THE BACK from wearing alot of new black clothes all the time. the front of the bag was not bad, but barbara had to remove the color of the bag to get out black and didnt want do back bc front had faded. i gave her permission to treat the entire bag.( also have a very clean bubblegum weekender) so i thought it was worth a chance. it was an expensive chance! now, as to her pix, you will notice she has the dirty back and then the clean front... the front was not really that dirty, also, my handles were not as dark as one in pix.......anyway, the handles are now great! the bag needs some minor color revisions which barbara said she would fix (i will keep you all posted!) and yes, the bag texture, is different. it feels dry to me, but barbara told me it would soften up and not to spray or condtion it. ???:shrugs:
anyway, i am sending it back to her for some minor revisions...like i said, it was expensive.. i am very happy with handles. i hope i will end up happy with the rest of bag. i told her i heard from my buddies(you all!) that she was using my pix and we were a close knit group. sooo , if you do send anything to her, my client number is LMBCK1 to use as a referral. i told her if she could make me happy:yes: , others would give her services a shot. she knows i am neurotic about my bal bags being perfect and i told her my friends were just as picky so be prepared!!!! and i told her to hurry up with that handle protector!!! maybe when it comes out, i can arrange a PF discount with her for all of us bc you know we all will be trying it. anyway, pm me if you need any more details. i am not affiliated or related to that co in anyway. i am just looking to find the best way to keep our bal bags beautiful!!!:love:

sue and varsh, i just pulled my bubblegum pink weekender from closet to compare, color is right on, but texture is different.(her pix are off in color.) my weekender is smooshy soooooooooofft leather. the work is now very matte and dry, but the handles are sure looking fine!:love: i have the urge to spray the bag with AG but barbara says no.:shrugs: she is not really familiar with bal bags so i sent her to NM to have alook see of 06 since the textures really run the gammit. the work has no shine layer at all, but is dry.? she said it will soften up i tried to explain to her the original 05 texture, but i dont know if she got it. she is trying bc my bag is going back for some color touch ups and maybe she will work on texture. honestly, i wanna spray with ag soooo bad!! i will wait until she does the second round before messing with it....

I am SO impressed with that bubblegum pink bag. I'm not sure why she said not to spray it with AG. That seems like a smart, preventative measure to me. :shrugs:

I think you can remedy the leather stiffness by massaging the bag gently- that, I think, would mimic what the manufacturer's "tumblers" do.

What kind of tweaking do you need for her to do with the color? And if you don't mind me asking, did you pay more than the $100 that she quoted someone here?
