hii, I heard and read some real thread , some big clinics have their translators in house. I am going to DA clinic next week by myself alone , they said they has their own translators and airport pickup services ,and all free of charge. I booked the shared apartment at a reasonable price at the airbnb for 2 weeks stay . I will figure out to buy the food nearby the place I stay or order online haha. It will be such an adventure for me but I am very excited to get lost in the middle of nowhere !! :panic:
How was the result?
Did you stay at Gangnam area?

Most clinics here that are plastic surgery have a person who works with in English Department that will work as a translator. Or you can look up specific clinics that offer that service however sometimes it can cost extra. The clinic I went to for mine did not cost extra which was Girin Plastic Surgery in gangam, btw.
How do you like your result with Girin? What did you had it done there? Thanks

In my case, after plastic surgery and moving around in Korea wasn't that difficult. I took an Uber taxi and the subway station had good English signs. There are many US brand foods and convenience stores. I don't think you need to worry too much. If you are worried, it may be a good idea to hire an interpreter at the beginning of your trip to Korea.

Posted this in another thread: I hired an interpreter based off recommendations here and he was a lifesaver. He did a lot of things you need help with, like walking with me from place to place so I didn't get lost. My interpreter liaised with clinics on my behalf and he also helped with contacting an airbnb host who wasn't responding, as well as with booking taxis. When I was in my zygoma surgery, he went out to buy the medications for me so I did't have to go to a pharmacy myself. They charge by the hour. I used Ryan Kim and HIGHLY recommend him. He also helped me negotiate double eyelid prices down by over a million krw at each consult. His kakao id is Ryankim13. Others have used Jude (kako id spqq) and Brian (gwbrian).

I went to Girin for DES and agree their english department is great. However, their translators are just communicating in a neutral manner between the consultant/doctor and you. By bringing your own translator, you have someone who is an advocate for you, not just a communicator.
Thank you!!! How was your experience at Girin for DES? As I am thinking of going with them ~
And how is the scarring ?
