Hi @thessalonica, I am sorry to hear you got cheek implants. The weight of the implants may be causing prominent NLFs. The implants will have also stretched out your cheek skin. You are at an age when the first stage of aging occurs, ie late 20s with the appearance of NLFs. It will be hard to find a surgeon who would do any facelift on a 20+ year old. Whether you get a midface lift or lower facelift, they use either smas or deep plane techniques as the smas muscle runs from the upper cheek (zygomatic arch) down to the platysma (neck muscle).
I beg to differ about hard to find a surgeon who would do a facelift on people in their 20's. Dr Dongman Park has done heaps on girls whose faces have sagged from FC. Even V.Lif have had some good results on young women in their 20's. If you need it, you need it regardless of age.

There is another stage in one’s life that causes accelerated aging, ie when you have 3 children! I just realised pregnancy takes a huge toll on the body and causes aging as we gain 20-30 lbs and then rapidly lose it so end up with loose facial and tummy skin! My face certainly went downhill after 3 babies in succession and gaining 20 lbs, losing 20 lbs and then repeating this weight cycle 2 more times!

Today twitter has exploded with speculation that Princess Kate may have had a facelift! Here is her b&a. I would tend to concur. If she did have one, she would have got a DP facelift as this seems to be popular in London. The left is before in November 2023 on Remembrance Sunday and the right is after in June this month on the King’s birthday. This means she may have had a ‘preventative’ facelift at age 42! Wow so young if she did have her first facelift. The public are upset as this isn’t the typical face of someone who has endured 6 months of chemotherapy with seemingly no hair loss.

I have now seen 2 bullhorn lip lifts by my surgeon Nick Rhodes (one a few years down the line and the other a recent one) and can recommend him since my lip lift surgeon has retired from private practice. His clinic starts at £1995 for lip lift which is a lot cheaper than London prices which are triple this. Many ladies forget to get lip lift when they rejuvenate or forget to get upper lid fat graft so that after a facelift they still don’t look 20s. If you are happy to look 40s after a facelift then you can omit a lip lift or eyelid fat graft but it is cheaper to include it with your facelift and Nick now does upper lid fat graft too! His clinic only charges £1995 for facial fat graft. I would take advantage of their very reasonable prices before they go up! And as Nick is older than I am he may want to retire soon too!

Another British friend has had her smas facelift, fat graft to temples and cheeks and lip lift for £9995 with Nick yesterday and has mild if any swelling. I have seen her pics and imo she has no swelling. She is super happy and will continue to take 30 mg of prednisolone to prevent Montezuma swelling on days 2–3 and will apply arnica cream to any bruises. She was fortunate to find a UK nurse prescriber happy to prescribe her pred.

As the British HK Chinese male who had his smas FL/NL with forehead fat graft for 16 million won (£9k) 3 days ago at ASPS declines to show me his results and says he does not look 20s, I can only rule that Nick is better than Dr Lee. He obtained his pred from indiamart.

This means my Singapore friend will fly to the UK and not Korea in September to see Nick and have her smas facelift with him. I am trying to persuade her to add lip lift as nowhere in the world can you get this for £1995 extra.

I just put in my British friend's day 1 and 2 smas facelift with lip lift photo into the beauty scanner app and it read her age as 21 on day 1 and 19 on day 2! She is Caucasian and 54! Nick beats Dr Lee! I am chuffed for her. Nick is hitting the ball out of the ball park!

Is 3 days long enough to judge the results? Perhaps expecting to look 20s was an unrealistic expectation if he's 50+? BTW it just occurred to me, all the before and after pics of amazing transformations after FLs that I can remember are of females. Don't get me wrong, I've definitely seen good FL results in men but I've yet to have that "Wow! This person looks 30 years younger!" reaction like I've had seeing results from with some ladies like you MissOrange. :) If anyone has seen such tranformations with men, feel free to share. I'm not sure why males can't have 30+ years taken off their faces too if that can be done with females so it should be possible.

Why I put VLIF clinic in Korea on my blacklist...Here is a screenshot of what they are putting a foreigner through after her facelift there failed and left her with bilateral perioral mounds or jowls. Imagine receiving threats of lawsuits instead of empathy and a 1 year free retightening policy like my British surgeon gave me.

In the West we have freedoms like free speech. In Korea they can sue locals for negative reviews. I have told her they cannot sue foreigners and not to go back to VLIF. They took her $10,000 and she looks the same as before. I have many before and after photos from her as evidence.

VLIF should learn how to treat foreigners. They expect good service and good outcomes, and if it is not delivered, a refund or free revision. This is the Western way. If they continue to threaten Western customers, they will naturally lose foreigners as customers and only be able to treat local patients at much cheaper local prices.

Foreigners are not cash cows. They are human beings who deserve courtesy, empathy, respect and good service and expect good outcomes for flying all the way to Korea. Any clinic threatening a foreigner is putting Korea in disrepute as a medical tourist destination for plastic surgery!

Hi @Gats, I have never met a man willing to show me their postop FL/NL result. Maybe because ladies are more generous and want to help others. Men are more selfish, so I cannot say whether a man can look 20s or not but yes theoretically it is possible. Men's faces look decades younger when they lose weight and neck fat, so I should imagine removing several inches of loose skin should help unless the result is obscured by profound swelling.

Wow, I just learned that my facelift surgeon Nick gave my British friend a free corner lift too with her bullhorn lip lift, fat graft and smas facelift! In fact if I break down the costs, it looks like the fat graft to her temples and cheeks was free! The Wizard of Oz is known to add free extras to ensure a lady is transformed into her beautiful self.

A few years ago he upgraded a VR macs lift to an extended facelift with neck lift for free for a lady with bad laxity! I saw a photo of her scar running from her temples, in front, then behind her ears to the back! He told her to keep it a secret but we women love to blab. lol. For another who couldn't afford a full FL/NL he restructured the pricing to what she could afford but stupidly she cancelled him on the morning of her op to fly to Turkey for cheap deep plane FL/NL which failed twice! She has permanently ruined her face and neck with dangerous deep plane in my opinion. Now his clinic insists on full payment 30 days prior as he lost a half day of theatre and operating time.

It is all discretionary. Another lady got free facial lipo added to her facelift. He even offered me lipo but I was on the table with my face open so couldn't and dare not ask to see what bits of fat he wanted to remove lol. Also I did not know if it would be free or an extra charge. lol. Perhaps I should have said yes as I have chipmunk cheeks when I smile after a whopping 5 full face fat grafts.

Not only is he board certified in plastic surgery but also trained in maxillofacial surgery and has an aesthetic eye. His Coppergate clinic has overwhelming 5 star positive reviews with only a couple of negative reviews (for another surgeon in the clinic not him) but they do not threaten suing a patient for a negative review, and their website is transparent with pricing and under terms and conditions lists the free retightening policy.

A couple of friends asked me who is the best in London for facelifts. I then thought long and hard and said no one as they all do deep planes.

The X twitter debate continues over Princess Kate and whether she had a facelift and not cancer. So I put her photos in my beauty scanner app...but when I compared nonsmiling photos the results were similar.

So either she had a deep plane facelift that is now showing laxity at 6 months with the return of nlfs and a downward oral commissure and needs a big smile to lift her face or she had a liquid facelift to give her that glow. Interestingly her upper lids look like they have had either filler or fat graft as they now appear full and less hollow.

So you're claiming that she never had cancer, but has been off having facelifts, is that correct?

Okay I had to google Korean defamation laws and wow! They can prosecute locals for telling the truth! It seems this carries up to 2 years in prison and a max of 5 million won fine ($4k) and if non Korean may lead to deportation. The case may be held in court and you found guilty in absentia but they are not going to extradite you for this. Prison is unlikely for a first offence.

Knowing this, I guess if you are a foreigner and leave a negative plastic surgery review best to stay away from Korea. Thank goodness my plastic surgery journey is over in Korea and I found a great and affordable UK plastic surgeon to keep me youthful.
