I use a brush when I condition; maybe that is why I never have problems with conditioner in the valleys of my pebbled leather. Is Blackrocks "richer" (more emollient) than other conditioners? I used the Saphir on my Sophia today and noticed a difference. It was only slightly on the dry side but a treatment with Saphir and it felt much nicer. It still seems a bit dry, so I'm wondering if it needs a little extra help.
Also, do you think using Blackrocks on a bag that has been treated with Apple Garde would be overkill or just good sense? I'm paranoid about my Chalk Snoopy Mini Surrey. In the summer I wear a lot of colored denim and I know from using a ton of Color Catchers in the laundry that the dye on those is very unstable. Snoopy's been treated with Apple Garde but I'm wondering if a coat of Blackrocks might also be wise.
I ran across this site that talked about caring for pebbled leather. They mention using a pig bristle brush to buff and get any errant conditioner out of the little valleys.

Blackrocks is thicker and richer than other conditioners. Of all the conditioners I've used, it is the one that gives the most dramatic results. It generally improves the look of nearly every bag I've used it on, as long as it is used correctly and not slathered on. I would use it on a bag even if I had used Apple Garde, especially on a light color like Chalk. I figure it can't hurt.
