Gosh talk abt hermes, I saw a 16 yr old girl wearing a black 35 birkin while waiting in line for SATC and she totally rocked it!! She wore it so nicely like the bag complements her not the bag wearing her KWIM. Seeing countless picture and real life people carrying the birkin, she won hands down. So chic!!

i am with you. not only the outfit, her hair, and the overall look...just not there. no wonder they say money can buy fashion but not style. hmm, :rolleyes:i suppose you can hire a stylist...

Pretty sure HK has diferent VIP levels because I was one ... but I didn't spend HKD300,000 .. more like HKD150 to 200 thousand ... I got invites to shows and private sales but I know women who drop hundreds of thousands, esp those that buy RTW and the real jewelry and they get to go to real runway shows and stuff ...

I have been to shows at the boutique and got small gifts ...

I read in that book "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster" that in order to be VIP you have to be "well-rounded" into a brand. As in not just buying bags, but jewelry, shoes, and ready-to-wear as well.

Hello, this is a very old thread I see, but can anyone answer - do the bags purchased at discount by VIP or given as gifts, are they marked somehow inside as such? I recently encountered a bag from about 2012, with a letter S embossed inside next to the word Chanel. Anyone seen this before?

Hello, I see this is an old thread. I'm hoping someone might answer or can direct me to the correct thread to post. I've been looking for a Chanel dog tag necklace for a friend.I found a seller and asked to see the jewelry date stamping. She sent me a very hostile note to do my research as this was a VIP gift and I should do my research on Chanel and VIP gifts. I am not a VIP, but I thought if Chanel went through the trouble to produce jewelry for VIP's, why wouldn't they stamp it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA!

Thank you for such a quick response! That's what I assumed. I would never purchase without stamping and the seller was rather rude. I posted this in the chit chat thread as well because this thread hasn't been active in awhile.

Hi there! Just thought I would add I have several VIP jewelry pieces from Chanel and none of them are stamped with the date/year. I have a couple pendants and a few brooches, all either blank or just have CHANEL stamped somewhere. My friend had the dog tags and I believe hers were blank on the back as well but don't quote me on it. Hope this helps and good luck on your search!
