How to become a VIP of Chanel and what are the VIP's privileges?

Hi there! Just thought I would add I have several VIP jewelry pieces from Chanel and none of them are stamped with the date/year. I have a couple pendants and a few brooches, all either blank or just have CHANEL stamped somewhere. My friend had the dog tags and I believe hers were blank on the back as well but don't quote me on it. Hope this helps and good luck on your search!
Thank you! It was laser cut Chanel in the front, but it looked sloppy. The back pictures were too hard to see clearly, but I believed it just had three rows of Chanel repeated vertically. I won't buy from this seller because of the attitude. Other vintage pieces did not show stamping at all or were not clear. I would hope sellers would know the shots needed to authenticate. But, it got me wondering about the VIP stamping. I appreciate your response! Thank you again.

i highly doubt buying 1 couture dress which can go up to the tens thousands will let you go to the couture show. The one lady who bought 1 bag and got invited to haute couture must be affiliated via employment (she may be an editor of haute culture mag, a lead buyer of a prominent store, rich famous husband or even rich and famous in her own right) there's great benefit of doubt...

Hello, I see this is an old thread. I'm hoping someone might answer or can direct me to the correct thread to post. I've been looking for a Chanel dog tag necklace for a friend.I found a seller and asked to see the jewelry date stamping. She sent me a very hostile note to do my research as this was a VIP gift and I should do my research on Chanel and VIP gifts. I am not a VIP, but I thought if Chanel went through the trouble to produce jewelry for VIP's, why wouldn't they stamp it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA!
This is kinda late but i thought i'd share what i know... As a vip you get a bday and christmas gift + invitations to fashion shows. Some people also get a year end gala dinner invite.

As for gifts -- they are specially marked "with compliments of Chanel." The gifts are usually SLGs or scarves from the season your bday falls in. For example for my bday in April -- which coincided with the airline collection, i got...

You'll see that it's a regular store item -- just with an extra tag shown in the 2nd pic.

It's not always their fabric SLG's -- sometimes they gift leather ones as well.

That's all i know. But curious to know if others have experienced anything similar/different?

I find this completely bizarre. How do people buy multiple pieces and become VIPs when they have buying restrictions? I was stopped from buying a second bag in the same month! (Which has completely put me off - Im definitely not going to beg a company to let me spend £1000s with them! I'll take it somewhere else. They act like they are doing people a favour by "letting" them buy a bag... No you're a business, we're the customer - you sell stuff...end of story.) Definitely seems like one rule for some and another for everyone else...

Yes, I was also stopped from buying a second bag when I visited another store in another country (usually UK/Europe). But they don't stop you in the US/Asia. It's totally unfair -- if that's even the right word. It's ridiculous.

When I visited Europe, 1 passport = 1 bag. But if you're a local -- I was told you don't get 'limited'. Sometimes I hear differently.

However, at the boutique in the city I live in -- I've been a customer for 20 years.

Thanks for sharing. Where i am im told the only way to become vip is buy lots and lots and lots of reg priced rtw. I buy on average one piece of rtw per collection and may get 1-2 additional during each sale plus i buy alot of bags and slgs and jewellery and shoes. Im no where near vip status.

I know this is quite an old thread but I'm hoping someone can please kindly get back to me. I have seen someone selling a Chanel VIP gift limited edition bag and they mentioned that Chanel VIP gifts don't come with authenticity cards or serial numbers, is this true? I just want to confirm before I go ahead and buy it! Thank you!

Not sure which bag you are talking about but it is not true that the gifts don’t come with auth card and serial no.

One of my friend received a makeup pouch that came in a full set. Authenticity card that matched the serial no. In the pouch

I’ve received large lambskin cosmetics case with the full set of authenticity card matching serial number. However please note I’m in the US. I do think/wonder if it’s possible that they do different things in asia or Europe for example?

Also I received gifts of lambskin watch box and lambskin jewelry pouches as gifts before but since those were not items that they sell in stores (meaning no retail price, authenticity tag etc because they were not made to sell to general customers) they don’t have the serial number and authenticity card. Other items I’ve received like snow globes and the Lambskin camellia box were again not available to sell/buy in stores and also therefore do not have any numbers nor card. Perhaps depending on whether the item you are talk about is something that is uniquely and specifically made just for vip gifts then I guess it may be possible it doesn’t have serial number or tag?
