How often do you rotate your bags?

I used to change my bag more often (sometimes a couple times a week), but lately I've gotten into wearing one bag and I'll go a few weeks before I make myself rotate it. I would like to start rotating more often though ... some of my bags are starting to feel left out. :D

After having a collection of bags and accessories, I usually know exactly what bag to wear with what outfit, so it saves time. Not keeping anything in the purses also facilitates quick change, when needed.

I will sometimes carry the same bag for a couple of weeks, but I might also switch bags everyday. Either way, I also prefer to keep my things in pouches. I tried various handbag organizers, but none of them really worked better for me than using pouches. I have a small one for cosmetics and a larger one for miscellaneous items (advil, hand sanitizer, tissue, keys, pen). It helps me stay organized but also makes switching bags really easy.

Oh, MoonieStarry! I feel the same way about my pocketbooks! Some of them seem so alone. Cast aside. Forlorn, forgotten, practically on their deathbeds. I do try to pet them all when I am with the whole group of them. Recently, I found a $20 bill in one of the bags I rarely use. I swear she looked up at me and squeaked, "See? I've saved this money for you all this time that I have been neglected. I am a nice bag. I am a loyal pocketbook. Please love me." She didn't really match what I had on that day, and I was tempted to just gently put her back into her silk pajama bag. But I felt a little squeeze in my heart. So I changed my shirt to match her and filled her up. We went to buy some cat food together.

I tend to use my bags for a month or two at a time, with an occasional swap-out to suit a particular need (event, weather, etc.).

Also, while I definitely don't do this on a regular basis, I have absolutely picked an outfit to go with my bag rather than vice versa. :)

I generally rotate bags every month. I also try to match or coordinate my wallet and cosmetic case with the bag, so I rotate them all at the same time. It can be bothersome changing out my SLGs. I definitely need a better system.

I do use pouches and I don't carry a lot. Problem I think is that my purse stays downstairs but my clothes and other purses are upstairs. I'm a stay at home mom now and my wardrobe is black pants and a top nothing dressy. Still I want to use all purses!

From the front lines: I managed to use my Stella McCartney gym bag on a first date today (dinner + sportsy thing). How does one look 100% effortless? ANSWER: BRING PRACTICAL GYM BAG ON DATE.

Unlike an organizer, which fits a certain size and usually doesn't take well to sweaty workout clothes being thrown on top, my system of pouches were easy to throw in and worked perfectly. I'm super proud of myself for carrying a very "day" non-purse purse on a genuine high-stakes bona fide date.

Since I have gone to pouches I am rotating more frequently. It is so much easier to change bags with pouches. I am changing bags at least twice a week now. I used to change every 2 weeks. I also like to keep my bag collection to 10 bags. This does not include my small bags like the clutches or tiny messenger bags. The bags that count towards the 10 are the larger everyday bags that I use all the time. I have a one in and one out policy otherwise I get overwhelmed with having too many bags. I find 10 is a good number for me.
