How often do you rotate your bags?

I rotate the bags weekly... I also keep a spread sheet of which bags I already used...
If I did not do this I would use the same bags to much...

I do not match the bag to my outfits... I wear the bag no matter what I am wearing.

Good, someone else does this too. I keep a calendar (word doc) and I have little pictures (another word doc) that I paste into the date always open these documents when I get to work. Sometimes I forget to fill in the weekends or the days that I don't work. At the end of the month I print the calendar. Sick I know.

I own about 7 and I rotate seasonally and every few weeks. I have a spring/summer collection and a fall/winter collection and i rotate every few weeks. I guess my collection is so small its easy to manage. Like a previous poster I dont match my bag to my outfit.

Like many others have stated I switch almost daily too. I have a closet room for bags and shoes mostly and a closet in there for bags. I have a dresser in there which is where I empty my bag after I get home. Then I put it in its dustbag unless it will get used the next day too. I rotate so often because of my moods but also outfits. One day I may wear black and white, then nudes, then blues, then purples and so on. The same bag does not go well with all my outfits. It depends on personal style too, if someone prefers wearing mostly black and carry black handbags that it is not necessary to switch as often. But, I not only have tons of clothes, I also love colors and style can vary a bit too depending on whether it is a work day, going out, weekend shopping, whatever. I work at a law office so sometimes I will different clothing for going out and for weekend shopping I wear jeans which I do not wear at the office. It is also fun in my opinion to rotate bags amd this way I can ensure they all get used. If I am very tired then I may just choose an outfit to go with the same bag. I also tend to choose bags I can ensure that can be used for any type of occasion because I have noticed that small clutches and so on I may totally love but they hardly ever get used.

I tend to go through phases. Unless I in the mood to be picky about matching an outfit, I have usually have one everyday bag that I carry for a while (like months) just so I don't have to think about it. But then I'll favor another for a few months.

But it also varies by season. During the summer I wear a lot more variety of color and style in terms of dresses and shoes and tops, so I change up the bag more often. During the winter though, whatever outfit's pretty much covered by a coat and since I only wear a couple of coats, I don't tend to switch up as much. The bag only really gets carried prominently outside when I have my coat on.

But yeah, mood and weather are definitely a part of it.

Bump!!!

I found this thread, and I'd love to hear some other people's habits! Esp working ladies, lol, admin assistants! :-) bc it's one thing to be the bOSS and switch bags every day, but it's quite another to be the new girl and swap bags when everyone's not even changing her cardigan on a daily basis! :weird:

I am a mood swapper and outfit swapper. Sometimes I plan the bag around the outfit, sometes the outfit around the bag. I love rotatin through my favs and enjoying them!

How often do you guys change bags to ensure all bags get a fair share of attention?

I have so many bags and find myself using the same ones again and again.

I store my bags in dust bags so sometimes I tend to forget which bags I have.

I have tried to display them on our sofa bed without the dust bags so I can pretty much walk into the room and pick out a bag, however I thought my bags might get dusty or dry out without the dust bag so I pretty much put them all back in their dust bags. Back to square one again!

Tips pls ladies :-)

I change my bag almost every day. Sometimes I wear a bag for three days, but usually not more than that, even if it is a favorite. I tend to safe favorites for special occasions a bit too much ;).

Mostly I create the outfit first and then add the bag that works best with it. I want the color of my outfit to go well with the bag color.
At the same time I try to pick a bag that I haven't worn recently. So even though my black bags go with a lot, I will avoid picking them over and over again.

Sometimes I also create an outfit for the bag. What helps me visualize any outfit is holding a bag close to the fabric. I basically take a walk past my clothing rack and closet (which is very colorful and diverse so I have to do this).

EX: I have this taupe and brown, preloved Fossil bag I recently got on Ebay and I felt it would go great with khaki, brown and beige for a day at a animal park with the family.
The bag also fit the occasion because I don't worry about it getting dirty.

So I guess I pick by:
- Outfit and Colors
- Occasion
- Bag I want to wear

I also chose bags the day before.
I do this subconsciously, so it was hard to put it in words. Hope it makes sense.:smile1: I feel like all my bags are getting enough action. Plus trying to find a great outfit for a bag that isn't my favorite can actually help me appreciate the bag more if it matches well. The yellow bag in my siggie is H&M and not a favorite, but it looks super cute whenever I want a pop of yellow or pair it with soft yellow colors.

Now that I have a bag organizer I rotate my bags about three to four times a week.
What I do to make it simpler ( I have the same problem with their dustbags....) is choose the bag I am going to wear on the next day....at the end of the evening.
This way, I have time to take a few bags out of their dustbags and make my choice.....
No rush like in the morning.

Thanks ladies!! Love love your replies :-)

I've decided not to buy anymore new bags so I can use and appreciate the ones I have now ... let's see how long it will last!

It's 10:30pm here in Sydney, I've taken your advice and found my outfit and bag for tomorrow :-)
