How much do sales associate make at LV?

I always heard from here that they do get commission. Honestly I haven’t ask my SA or any employees. I feel like it rude to ask how much money they make. It like not my business to know how much they make or how much commission.
I’m just there to shop and have my time to be enjoyable. I rather be asking how was their day? How are they doing? Did they did anything fun and something memorial? That stuff I rather be making a conversion with a employee. I rather be connecting with a employee so they know what type of person I am. Maybe that will make them at ease with some shoppers coming in being too serious. lol

In 2 countries in Europe that I have asked, they do not make commission but bonus which is based on performance and ofc sales targets. However, in department stores they have to comply with the department store way of payroll so it can be that there they make commissions, but ofc there is also a part of fixed salary.
Last year I was in a store in italy, went one day decided to sleep on it and went the next day, asked for the specific person in the entry (she was occupied) and the guy in the door told me "it doesn't make a difference who will assist you".

Last I checked with my SA, they are paid less than $20/hour and they recently applied commission. They do have sales goals for each week/month that need to be met. & yes they do receive a “healthy” bonus near the end of the yead. At the end of the day, it does matter who you are buying your goods from.

They are the WORST in Florida; especially Boca Raton. But to play devil’s advocate, so are the clients, lol!

That’s my home store and I have received nothing but impeccable, amazing service but it also depends on the SA.
Ask for Rafael when/if you visit the Boca store. He’s honest and as a senior CA he knows his stuff! Pros, cons and recommendations about each product. He has helped me for almost 17 years and service has only gotten better with time! It’s nice to have a caring, knowledgeable CA. I too am curious to know if they work by commission.

Yes they do make commission, but its a recent thing. i just got out of working luxury retail myself not LV, but one of my former coworkers now works there. They make a much higher hourly rate then a lot of the luxury designers, but the commission rate is exceptionally low compared to competitors and they don't receive commission on monogram bags, only leather and exotic. I feel for him because in my city LV is extremely popular and you can't go anywhere without seeing at least 25 neverfulls, definitely a wardrobe staple here. I know that Gucci pays their employees the best in the mall i was at, from what I've heard from mall chatter and former employees. The boutiques usually pay better than department stores. places like newman's or nordstrom you only make commission, so if you're not selling a lot or its slow, its feels like you're basically working for free, i know from experience unfortunately.
