I have several LV bags and do love them, but with their costs that keep on skyrocketing I think MK is a breath of fresh air. The MK have the LV look and quality and the price is so good you can get many bags for the cost of one LV. The other poster was correct in saying LV hold their price but it just depends on how YOU feel about it. I used to never carry anything but LV, Gucci, or Fendi but now I love MK and feel good about having a great selection of bags to carry at a great price and I dont worry about bringing them anywhere.

Agreed!! I need to get me a speedy 30 before another increase because I refuse to spend over $900 on one and I'm sure it will be well over that before to long :(

Well I don't exactly have those same bags but I have a neverfull and a jet set tote. IMO I would get the mk if you can find it on sale somewhere. I hate buying a bag and then the next week it's on sale or sent to the outlet! On the other hand the lv will never lose its value so even if you buy and then later decide to sell it. You still get back majority of your money. If not more. Also it depends on your needs. I use my neverfull mostly and the mk on rainy days or places I don't want to get my neverfull wet like the pool or the beach. Sooo after all that I would say if you can afford the lv for it will hold its value and look for the mk on sale..
brilliant, so basically, get both :D:D, great advice!

yeah thats the other things LV prices keep going up so I feel like its now or never! I feel like if I am honest with myself I actualy prefer the look of the MK jet set with its charm and it looks great in the new purple colour, I think my head just says stick to old faithful LV but my heart says MK. I think I will definately be 'making the switch' as you say. I think I will treat myself to an LV bag now and then but it seems silly to keep paying the high prices when I keep seeing gorgeous MK bags I like just as much if I am honest with myself, which cost a fraction of the price. I could literally 3 MK bags and over £100 change or 1 LV bag......

That's it then. Get what makes your heart happy!! It's a lot of money and you need to be 200% happy.

I don't own any LV bags. Never affordable for me so when MK came on the scene with there monogram I fell head over heels for it! ImageUploadedByPurseForum1373057850.302419.jpg

MK gets my vote as you can see!

I haven't made a switch from my premium designers...but I have started including Michael Kors and Kate Spade...as I love the variety of colors...and at such great prices...so by adding these designers...I have both my classic bags....such as my Chanel, Dior and Vuitton and my trend bags with a rainbow of colors...

I am considering buying a Blake or Miranda which would be pushing me closer to LV price territory at $1195, but I feel like it'd be money better spent considering it is leather as opposed to canvas.

I just started out earning money and bought myself an MK bag at the airport...never did got to do the switch since I can't get myself to buy an LV bag because of the price :(

I used to feel the same way. I said i would never spend that much on a bag. Lol until I made my first purchase and started reading on the forums about how certain bags retain their value and last longer. I would buy a bag every season. But since I've been purchasing more expensive bags I only get one once a year some times every 2. And I feel like its a special treat to working so hard. But that's just me.

I really want a Miranda--the black leather with grommets--but I am struggling with the idea of paying $1195 for a bag that is made in China. I just can't bring myself to pay FP.

If I can find it 40% off in September, I'd be all over it--I may even convince myself that at 25% it's okay--but at FP, it's just too much.:p
