Michael Kors How many have made the switch?

You are so right about the pricing it has gotten outrageous, even in this bad economy!. It is hard to imagine spending 500-1200 on a wallet, yikes! Coach is making some beautiful bags this season, but my heart is with MK right now, I have bought Coach for years and have loved them, but where I live the market is getting flooded with them because of the outlet stores nearby. I hope someday you will get and enjoy an MK bag. I think you will realize the quality is super nice and the styles are so amazing.

Exact same wallet!! Different price!! I would definitely go with MK especially when it has hardware and it's cheaper than the printed more expensive Coach. I'm def with MK too, I find too many people here have Coach and way too many fakes.

I don't know about making the switch but I made a swap Lol! I wanted the LV Neverfull for my travel tote but I decided to purchase a MK tote instead. I pouted a little and was a bit disappointed until I put my stuff in it and have it a chance and I like it now I have just about gave up on Coach as I like the styles but I am tired of the quality issues. Still going to buy my speedy b this year but for now I am ok with my LV to MK tote swap. Here's a pic:

I don't know about making the switch but I made a swap Lol! I wanted the LV Neverfull for my travel tote but I decided to purchase a MK tote instead. I pouted a little and was a bit disappointed until I put my stuff in it and have it a chance and I like it now I have just about gave up on Coach as I like the styles but I am tired of the quality issues. I have never had a problem with coach quality ever!! There new line is amazing crazy quality!!! I've actually had more quality issues with MK and I own more MK then coach and love but have had a few problems with his stuff here and there.. That sucks you had a bad experience with coach :/

I didn't make a conscious switch - it just happened - was a huge LV fan (still have some gorgeous classics) but a couple of years ago saw the light - the styles were getting boring and the prices going up and up and no longer represented what LV was. I actually felt foolish for being 'sucked in' and spending so much money and time there! I had an arh-ha moment when I went to purchase a scarf and the SA was so offhand I thought this place really is a piece of fakeness personified and that was my last time ever in LV......later needed a yellow bag and found my perfect bag at MK very randomly, and are so so happy - have since purchased a zinnia Jet Set small tote which was used continiously last summer, and another unknown style from Last Call.....am eying the new Jet Set tote colors.....I don't like the MK logo bags though but the plain saffiano leather is just great quality for an amazing price......my LV bags look nice in my display cabinet but as just a huge waste of money....*sigh*.......from my love of the MK bags have branched out to purchase two MK watches which are gorgeous and some of the clothing line!

I'll never buy LV again.

Thank you! Most of my quality issues with Coach are construction issues (color loss issues, crooked flaps, broken turnlocks, damaged items, etc) I shop online being a boutique is over 3 hours away so I don't often have an opportunity to visit a FP store in person. The Coach forum is full of information on quality issues that I would recommend reading. I do love Coach but I am taking a break from ordering online.

I love Coach and to be fair The last item I purchased was the Haley satchel that had to be returned as the handle was cut and the zipper would not zip all the way when I received it. The previous lines I have had issues with color loss, crooked flaps, zipper issues, etc. This is also the first MK item I've purchased so I don't have any history with him. So sorry you have had issues with MK's quality as well.

I've heard the same!!! My friend had a Hamilton and after a month, the handle was all ripped and broken. She got it at the Vegas store. I haven't heard anything with Coach so far in my group of friends, however, I've been using my Coach soft leather madison tote for about half a year now and I'm noticing normal wear and tear on the bottom. You can see scratch marks on the black leather....I didn't expect that!

Thanks for sharing I'm going to stay away from Coach anyway, I hate the customer service. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking into a Hermes store rather than a Coach with all the snooty SAs. MK has much nicer SAs, and I like their bags for my style but I was just surprised to hear. Take a break! Or maybe it's roadtrip time I'm not sure if I would drive 3 hours either though, 2 max...unless I know something is there that I want to purchase

How I agree with you!!! Love LV but the prices are just getting ridiculous for CANVAS...while MK is a lot of real leather! SAs are the worst...I wanted to literally throw money at this lady's face for accusing me of lying and asking to hand over the bag because she didn't think I had the money to purchase it! I don't like people following me around when I'm looking or trying on stuff. I took a bag to the mirror RIGHT beside the shelf and she asked if someone was helping me. There was, another SA was trying to find an adjustable strap so she went to the back. This SA said, "No, I think you're lying, there is no one helping you because she wouldn't have let you taken the bag off the shelf. Can you please hand over the bag?" I was appalled, I left and never step foot again either. You didn't waste money on LV, they will always be classics, and were a great investment, maybe just not anymore

Oh my goodness!! My SA leaves me with the bags and I go look at myself in the mirror all the time!!! So sorry this happened to you I would've wanted to throw money at her as well

Interesting, exact same! Way too many Coach here, not so many fakes though.

They're about the same size but Michael Kors has more pockets and it has card slots!!! So my point is for me I buy high and low alternatively.

That's the beauty of handbags, sometimes you want a high end bag because you love it, and then sometimes you find one that isnt as high end but you end up using it so much because you love it too. Also I find I worry way more about taking out my LV watercolor bag then my MK bags, I am scared I might ruin something. So alot less stress taking out my MK bags
