How Does Chanel After-Sales Bag Repair Work?

The repair will be free if it’s within the 1st year of purchase and the damage is not through wear and tear. I did a phone order on my classic flap from Saks NYC and dropped it at a Chanel SF boutique and they accepted it. Dropped it off mid June, my SA said it’ll take up to 12 weeks for repair. :oh: I had to repair the hardware (male part of the turnknob). I wish it wouldn’t take so long since they are sending it to east coast and not to Paris. Definitely no lockdown in the US now.

I had to drop off my 22C pink sakura small flap because the hardware button on the inside flap was RUSTED. This was a brand new bag purchased within days of me dropping it off. Tags attached. I was quoted 12 weeks. So, the repair is done in the east coast?

I dropped my 21A 19 for unraveling lining seams in September. They quoted me 8-12 weeks, but it was not ready for pick up until January… was late @ 17 weeks total. They told me they had shipped it, along with other repairs, to France. I am in the US. My friend dropped off her Classic flap for the small stitching in between the top flap and bag in October, but it still isn’t ready yet.

Wow - these timelines are completely unacceptable. I’m horrified and terrified for myself. I’m in the USA too- I just want my damn bag back.

Yep! That’s what I was told for the hardware button closure. I ended up getting my bag back 12 weeks from dropping it off.

I had some popped stitches I wanted fixed on my reissue 225 and dropped off my bag mid October, quoted 6-8 weeks but that things have been having longer (understandable). I just got my bag back on Thursday, so end of January. About 14 weeks. I did get a tracker that I was able to reference to see when the repair was started, and it was almost two months after my bag was marked as received.

A note, I'm in MI, and I was told by my SA that my bag was sent to be repaired in New York.

My friend’s bag with the one popped stitch between the flap and bag came back in mid February. Her bag, like mine, took about 17 weeks to repair. We both dropped off our bags in Orange County. CA.

My reissue was dropped off in mid/late March 2022 and was told it will take 4 weeks to repair the loose stitching on the interior double flap (left side). It was actually completed in 10 weeks.
