I've posted this already ages ago so some have already seen it. This is how I store my H bags ... in my closet ... and they're stuffed with the air pillows inside.

I believe it has been a couple of years now. Do you have any issues storing their bags together with the shoes?? Love to hear your views.

pursenista, Hermes bags come from Hermes with plastic air bags, and to my knowledge, no SA has ever said that they must be removed immediately and never again used. I have to assume that Hermes knows what they're doing where this is concerned.

Hi everyone,
Im new here at the forum. I saw this post. I keep banging my head everytime I see someone using plastic air bags to stuff their handbags. Number one if the air pillow bags are made out of vinyl the color will leach to it. Second, Never put plastic next to leather. it can't breathe and drys the leather. If you dont want to be bothered with a purse ring AKA Pursendipity which is a natural product made to stuff purses when not in use. then use tissue. I know its messyu but you need to protect your beautiful bags

The Pursendipity has potential but I wouldn't feel comfortable putting hot pink or leopard print inside my bags. I could be paranoid but I am concerned about fabric bleeding... I don't know .. it just doesn't feel right to have printed/dyed material stored inside my bags. For the price we pay for our H bags, if using a product such as the Pursendipity, I would only want unbleached organic cotton or other similar fabric.

My Bolide came with a large "gauze-type" pocket where the plastic bags were stored. I love that and wish I had that same set up for my Birkins.

Kalliegirl - would it be possible to post a picture of the "gauze-type" pocket? Thanks!

Mine too!! I'm going to ask for more next time I go in! I've already got extra air pockets for my Kelly but want a gauze pocket to put them all in!

The firmer/sellier Birkin, Bolides and Kellys I leave standing up in their dustbags. The softer, bags like Trim and retourne Kelly I lay down in their dust bags. It gives me more room that way when they are laying down. You can stack them with the lightest bags on top. I go thru them seasonally and make sure the ones that will be used are on top. I only do this in one closet. In my armoire they are all standing up. All bags are in dustbags and stuffed with air pillows or tissue as necessary. I am lucky to get new air pillows all the time in boxes sent to my office so I always have a fresh supply.

I modified this china cabinet to hold my H and shoes. I stuff my bags with rolled up towels After these pics I added more glass shelves on the bottom

Thanks! No issues at all. Also, when it rains, I usually wipe my bags and leave them outside the closet before I put them back in the shelves. As for for my shoes, I wipe them/dry them out and leave them in the cellar for a day or two before I store them back in the closet. When it's not raining, I also air out my shoes outside the shelves before I put them back in.
