How do you pronounce "louboutin"?

Leda: Every SA I talk to does NOT pronounce it like the french word décolleté. So while I am not saying that I am 100% accurate in my assumption that this is what Mr. L intended I will stick to it!!!

^That's the way I say Decollete, but for some reason I always feel very self-conscious! As if people will think I'm being French and snobbish! :blushing:
 
^^ I actually feel self-conscious about the way I say "Christian" not the "Louboutin" part. I say "Chreest-ee-ahn" and I feel like people think I should just say Christian the way Americans do. Does that make any sense?

Doesn't decollete mean to let loose?

you might be thinking of decollage? Which I believe has to do with a plane taking off?? High school french was bit ago (3 years lol), so please excuse me if I am mistaken!

but I am french and that is not how it is pronounced and it bothers me.

its pronounced loo boo tin.

like the french character tintin.
