How are your Swift Bags aging?

Gulliver and swift are similar, but not the same. Swift actually does fairly well in the rain, BTW. But watch the corners of your bag.
So what exactly are their differences? Good to know swift is ok in rain. Thanks about warning about tips but how do I "watch the corners", any prevention tips would be much appreciated. TIA

The leathers are very similar but not exactly the same - both smooth finished and soft. I believe Gulliver wears better than swift. And yes, avoid knocking the sides of the bag... I know several people have reported that their swift bags have worn very well and some, like me, have had the opposite experience.

Thanks, mistikat, forewarned is forearmed?????:smooch:

I was kind of happy to swap my swift bag for a box birkin a few years back. The newer, swift bag was already showing rubbing on the corners. It had been rarely used and could have just been from taking it in and out of the sleeper bag, it was that soft. I don't know if I would buy another piece in swift. Maybe an SLG, but not a bag.

This is a great thread!
I had this Ciel swift for about one and a half year, not using very often, but already found some rubbing/scuffing on the corners, would it been the color or just me?
And it is quite slouch even for the use of the first time, can see from my avatar:D

Try storing it with bubble air plllow stuffing and laying it down not standing up, mine is holding shape that way, you can also stuff it with a towel to hold its shape, I do that with my clemence as well. I never store them without stuffing to hold the shape! It really makes big difference

Hello all!

I understand Swift is a kind of leather people love or hate. Can you share photos on how your Swift leather bag(s) has been aging? Do you think it's aging better or worse than other leathers?

here's mine, about 6 to 7 years old. She's very soft, color has been darkened over the years.

Thanks in advance!
