If anyone is still interested in these scarf rings, the Atlanta store has both in stock, and the horn one on display is gorgeous. It's light on each end with just the darker part across the middle.

Can anyone help please, I cannot find a horn scarf ring anywhere in the UK? I'm coming to the States in September - do you think they would either send me one over to the UK or hold it for me until then? thanks.

Have you contacted H and asked them if they could ship it to you or hold it for you until you will visit the shop in September? I have had a few items shipped to me from different Hermès shops abroad so at least some of them do ship internationally. Just please be aware of that the horn scarf rings all look different so you may want to see it in person or at least on a picture before buying it.

I haven't contacted any US stores yet Kashmira, I wasn't sure what their policies might be. I may try and see if I can get one through a reseller first and then if I have still not found one, try contacting US H about a month or so before I leave. Thanks for the advice. :smile1:

I have heard that some shops don't ship while others will ship. If I remember correctly the horn scarf ring I am waiting for was 115 USD (or was it 125 USD?). Good luck in finding one!

As to wooden scarf rings. The H cashmere ring shawl comes with its own wooden scarf ring. It is a very plain round wood ring.
This shawl is the closest thing to the now illegal shahtoosh.

Yes, they're different things. They both have the anchor chain design, they're both lightweight, but the horn is simply polished horn with varying degrees of light/dark areas, and the wood is about a medium to darker shade that's perfectly smooth. The advantage with both is that they're so lightweight that they're not likely to fall off any size scarf.

I am a little confused. Are horn and wood two different things? By wood, do you mean lacquered wood? Would the gavroche scarf ring fit a 70cm vintage scarf? tia

I think I may take some pics of all my different scarf rings, they range from the twilly rings (black, red & white), gavroche ring, various 90 cm carres rings and what I now guess must be a shawl ring as it is quite large it is wood on one side and mother of pearl on the other - I never really use it but bought it just because it was so lovely - I'm a sucker for all things scarf!!

Kashmira, thanks for this link. i now know what the horn ring looks like. Can someone please post a pic of the wood ring? So what scarf ring fits the 70cm scarves? tia

I use both the gavroche rings (tight fit, but not bad) and the wood rings (perfect) for my 70 cm scarves.

Here's a photo that shows a wood ring at the top left, a gavroche ring on the right, and some Twilly rings at the bottom. The wood rings vary enormously in color, so mine merely shows one possible "look"-- when I bought mine there was another at the store that was such a dark brown it was nearly black.
