Dear Scarfies!
I've been willing to contribute to this thread since the first day. Today I am taking the time to do so, since I see there are many questions and I hope I can help you out. I will write as many information as I can remember about my experience with HERMESMATIC. As you already know, those are pop-up stores that only appear for a few days. First there was one in France, Strassbourgh (I think), Bordeaux, then Amsterdam, then Munich, then it went to Japan. There was also one in Dubai, Brussels and Basel... The next one seems to be the one on NYC next month... My experiences were with the Munich pop up store, that was in a different location to the H-shop.

Pegase, thank you so much for sharing all of this golden info! I would be even more excited to buy the pre-made dip dyes in hard to find/out of season scarves! What fun!!

- Basically, you can bring as many scarfs as you like to have dip dyed. Not only 90s but all formats, even CS GMS! and the dying is FREE.

- There were 6 Colors you could choose from, if I remember correctly: Gray, Violet, Red, Olive, Yellow, Pink and Red...

- H wont take any responsability at all for the results. No one will tell you what it will look like, since no one really knows. It is all at your own risk. (I guess its part of the fun... not really knowing what will come out of this adventure...) Some Scarfs dye better, some not so good... some colors might get coverd up, some not.. some might blend together... some not... etc...

- You leave your scarfs there and can pick them up two days later. I was told they get washed, dyed and washed again.

- In Munich you got your scarfs in a small canvas pouch when you pick them up. But you had to ask for it! at least I did... maybe because I was not there the first 2 days and they started to hold them back... They also had soap as give-aways in form of a cube.

This was all fun and cool and stuff... BUT there is one more thing and I dont know if you guys actually know this:
Besides the scarfs that you could have dyed, they also sell scafs that are allready dip dyed, and this have been dip dyed in the factory and have the Dip Dye Tag on them! Here is where it gets REALLY interresting since they had designs that have not been reissued in a while and there were store fresh!!!!
ALSO every different Hermesmatic Location had DIFFERENT desings for sale!

I followed the different posts on Instagram, and I could see that the scarfs that were for sale in Japan were NOT the ones they had in Munich... for example:
in Munich you could buy Kachinas in 3 different dyes, (KACHINAS!!!!!) Les Danses des Indiennes (YES! OMG This Grail (at least for me) has never been reisued! were they keeping vaults with old designs somewhere hidden?!?) Quadrige, Tigre Royal, among others...
In Japan -apperently- you could buy Brazil, Serio Ludere, Springs, Cuirs du Desert, Les Cles, Jungle Love.... Do a instagram search, youll find lots of pictures!!!
I Hope I am not forgetting anything...
I am still working on the pictures, please give me some time, I will try to post soon! However, I can tell you, that my newly dyed scarfes came back with the velvety feeling typical from Dyp Dyes that silk twills dont have, this by it self was already a cool thing considering those were old scarfs I wasnt wearing any more!
Silky Hugs!

Thank you for all the information Pegase!

I'm tempted to dye a CSGM but it has a little hole/tear and I think the dying could make it worse .... or in my dreams they will dye it and repair too [emoji4]

Look forward to seeing your pictures!

This is great to hear. Yes, I read that they were selling DDs, but I had no idea what designs. This is so cool. Unfortunately, I will be out of town and can only go on the very last day of the NYC pop-up. I hope there is anything left!
I am pawing through my scarf drawers trying to decide. I think I will bring a handful of scarves and hope that I can get some advice. As it will be the last day, maybe someone can predict which colors will work.

What do you guys think is a reasonable number of scarves to have dyed, assuming we can bring "as many as we like"? I'm thinking three would be okay. Don't want to be greedy with the dyers' time--I think this event is gonna be popular!

i'll be in nyc for work and definitely plan to stop by. i only have 1 silk scarf from an H sale, and although i'm not married to it, i don't know if i'll dip dye it. i also don't know if i'd be able to pick it up before i have to leave!

I can't wait to see everyone's new beauties! I can't make it to NY but someone mentioned that it'll be coming to Vegas. If anyone can find out when that will be, can you please post it? I'd probably want to make a small trip of it. [emoji12]

I was more thinking five is the upper limits of reasonable, but then, I get a leetle bit greedy when it comes to H!

Gosh, I wish I could be in NYC for this. There are so many designs I'd love to have as dip-dyes since that's pretty much all I wear in silks. I wish they were dyeing green, too. I "need" green scarves.
