:thinkin:Hi Doc, I may be having a senior moment, but I think I remember seeing you actually restore a trainwreck, step by step. It may have been a Rouge H, box Kelly. It ended up being beautiful, & with a twilly on the handle! I've searched, but, no luck. If there's such a thread, could you tell me where it is? TIA

Oh, dear. So sorry to read of your accident. Hope you get well soon. :flowers:

Dearest Doc,

I tried cleaning the dirt off the vachetta handles on my patina-ed LV Ellipse with a damp white sock. It did remove some of the dirt but the lovely sheen on the handles is now gone and the handles are a bit lighter in colour than before, leaving what I presume to be old colour transfer marks more obvious than ever. I have no immediate access to any leather cleaners or conditioners apart from an Australian brand called Shucare (I actually bought the leather balm and the separate cleanser but I've spot tested the balm on a bit of vachetta piping on the base of the bag and it not only turned it dark, it seemed a bit dirtier. It doesn't list any ingredients apart from tea tree oil and has a shoe polish scent. Hmm.)

I probably dried out the vachetta handles and there's still some greyness to them from the dirt. What should I do? Can I leave it until an order of the products you suggest arrive? I live in Malaysia. Hot and humid. :sweatdrop:

Sorry but this thread is for Hermes products only. Please post in the general handbags section or in LV regarding this bag. Thanks.

All the best doc

Sorry if this has been asked before and please point me in the right direction if it has. Is it possible to have scratches removed from Tadelakt leather with proper spa treatment? Many thanks for your help!
