Discover how we craft objects designed to last and be repaired, to be used and passed down through generations.

Since its founding in 1837, six generations of artisans have safeguarded and nurtured their historic know-how in the Hermès workshops. This heritage is a living, flourishing and constantly evolving treasure trove of artisanal skills. Hermès in the Making brings craftspeople from nearly ten of the house’s métiers to offer a sneak-peek into their expert techniques and exclusive know-how. Their work echoes the heart of Hermès: preserving and developing savoir-faire – expertise which is often linked to a historical tradition or region – a quest for quality, durability and innovation, and respect for the surrounding environments.

This 6-day public event features live demonstrations, workshops, interactive activities, and films spread throughout the space. As you walk through the event, you will be invited to customize the visit based on the interests, desires, and themes that excite your curiosity.

Me too! It was a lot of fun. It was so warm in there though, I could not stay for too long with a cranky toddler lol

Thanks for sharing the pics! I’m a local but was out of town for those exact dates! A higher power knew yo keep me out of the store!

Does an online purchase differ from a boutique purchase? I thought all purchases counted as history.
Coveted items are offered as “rewards” by the individual store, not by the brand. Only purchases at a particular store count toward offers at that particular store and online purchases actually often hurt your history as it shows you spent money “elsewhere” that could have been spent “with us” instead.

Thank you so much for that info!!!

I went there a few months ago and the SA was not very nice and not friendly at all. She was snobbish and told me a Constance is a wishlist item when I asked her about it and did not care to elaborate. I should have gone to the SA who I saw last time but I lost her contact card. She was nice and helped me get Orans. I think her name was Kim.

I walked by but was not inspired to stop by. The store looked empty. From outside you could only see cosmetics, perfumes, scarves and jewelry. I rather spend in a bigger store with more inventory and more chances of scoring something else. I don’t think this store will be here for much time.

Hi all,
I'm planning to visit the Hermes boutique in the Somerset collection next weekend. This will be my first time at the store. What suggestions would you have on how to score items and build relationships with the SAs there? Some insights into the stock level of the store would be useful too :D Thank you all so much!

I love the Troy store. It’s my home store. I love the managers and there are several incredible SAs there. Yes, I have received AMAZING quotas from this boutique. Natalie, the manager, is wonderful. I’m not willing to share my (SA), but those mentioned in this thread are all good .

I moved to the area not too long ago and thinking about switching home stores from Paris.
How are the SAs here? Do they get pretty good stocks of bags?
I still travel quite a bit in the year but this location is much more convenient so I am trying to determine whether the accessibility to bags and costs outweighs starting over by switching stores and SAs. Did not realize there is $2500+ price difference in bags between here and France. That's a small LV or Dior bag cost.
