After reading my post, I may have confused....

My SA (out of state) mentioned that if I buy items from the Troy store (MI), he will not be able to offer me any more bags.
I am out of state, but visit MI each year. Was thinking of picking something up when I am visiting but would hate for that to impact what I can get from my home store.

Well said - disappointing - but I’ve realized that I’m incredibly patient when it comes to H and when a bag is meant to come to me- it will ...still waiting for an appointment- I’m thrilled to even get into the store ! LOL  (obviously , it doesn’t take much to get me excited) waiting patiently until the hubbub dies down -I was able to make appointments in both Chicago and Orlando the same day...so I just need to exercise a little more patience ...frankly- my wallet is glad !
I left a message on their voicemail Saturday morning. I have not received a call back for an appointment. I wonder if they will open their doors and allow walk-ins, by appointment only, or as LV does where you wait in a long line outside of the store and there is a person checking you in and assigning you to an available sales associate.

Let us know when they do call you in for an appt. @WhyMrBabcock!

I’ll keep you posted!...I cannot imagine the lines for LV at H- yikes ! Until then - I’m busy with the summer holidays !

As of now it is appointment only. I emailed them last week and got a response within an hour. I have no Hermes history not even online. My apt was yesterday. There are two people at the check in including a security guard. The check in person was offering appointment and I heard the earliest was available on Wednesday morning.

Their registers and wifi are slow so they had us wait for an additional 10-15 mins outside the store despite having an appointment. The SA couldnt even look up an item for me because of the slow wifi. My SA was very nice and pleasant though but she couldn't find items and also didn't seem to have much knowledge. She did say she will get back to me and email me with the info.

I was still very excited to make my first Hermes purchase yesterday!

So I had my appointment today and I scored something exciting, I got my pegase rodeo!! Eek I was so excited. I would also like to say that my SA was the manager of the Troy location very nice and lovely lady, I also picked her brain a bit with things that are said on this forum. No one was offered a shadow birkin or a Himalayan nor has anyone been offered birkins or Kelly’s as of recently, I even asked about VIPs coming in and being invited to shop the store “early” she shut the rumors down as being not true, which I am choosing to believe considering she is the manager. I am a fairly well client at Hermes and I went to the store today with my Birkin and my mom brought her Birkin as well, we asked for Kelly’s or Birkins and she said they have not gotten any stock yet besides the display bags. Something that I thought was cool is that at Troy they allow you to try on the Kelly’s they have a 25 and 28 for try on they are in the colors Malachite in swift leather and then a orange kelly in Togo, overall I recommend anyone to go and make an appointment as it is pretty cool they will let you try on a 25 and 28 kelly. Another tid bit is that they have FULL access to your purchase history at any US boutique, they pulled up my entire Chicago sales history.
In Chicago store you are able to try all sizes of K and B. At least my SA told me that and brought those for me to try. I don’t know how many managers Troy store has but there is one that used to be an LV manager. I saw that in Linkedln.
My Chicago SA has always said to me if you go to other boutiques and find something unique get it. It won’t hurt you and I want you to get it. He is a keeper!!! I even rejected a SO and they offered me to place another one. I live here in MI but won’t mind going to Chicago if SAs here are not friendly or honest. Also, I don’t have to spend a fortune to get a B or K.

Are you referring to the Chicago store? Right now I have a sales history of almost $2k at the Chicago location, should I just keep buying from Chicago as my chances are better there to get B or K? Thanks

Yes Chicago! I think it depends on the SA. I never spent anything like that to get a B or K. I only buy what I like. My first purchase was a click clack and a scarf. I gave the SA my wish list. I happened to be there after 6 months and I asked him if he had anything and he showed me the B. Then that SA left and I contacted the manager to assign me another SA and this SA is fabulous. He emailed me once with a K and I bought it. They even shipped it. It’s all about building the relationship with the SA. We talked about Hermes but about our families, etc. I clicked better with this SA than the previous one.

I haven’t been able to go to the Chicago store yet in person, I’ve just called or text my SA and then he ships me the items. I always thought I couldn’t ask over the phone for a B or K because they couldn’t ship them, hmmm maybe I’ll try in the near future!

Some stores loosened their shipping restrictions during the height of the pandemic when they were desperate for sales. Most have since reinstated the no shipping of quota bags and difficulty in shipping non-quota bag policies (ie needs high level justified exception approval).

If you made an in person purchase they can send you a B or K. Sometimes they just need approval from management. Also, only a few boutiques do so not all of them from what I understood. Chicago is one of the few.

So I had appointment today and was so disappointed. The SA was very short and kept telling us what was sold out and didn’t show us any bags outside of the case. I wanted to see a scarf. She pulls out the Twilly. I’m like that’s not what I asked for and said never mind. I had to ask her to another location for shoes that weren’t in stock at this location. My sister wanted to get a Clutch but left it because of the service. So disappointed
