I was in on Saturday and picked up a gavroche and some Oran sandals. I am by no means a VIP, so I’m still wondering how I was invited, but was thrilled nonetheless. The SA who helped me was new to Hermès. I knew way more about scarves than he did, but he was kind and very helpful and I’m sure he will learn quickly. So, I think there was a mix of local hires and established Hermès people from other locations. There was a gentleman at the cash wrap who was guiding others on Hermès practices.

So cool! Were there a good variety of scarves? Looking at the photo of the front entrance it only looks like one table of scarves.

Saw a picture on Instagram of a girl holding an orange bag in front of the Troy store on the day of the opening. Later that day, she posted an unboxing of her black Kelly. Heard she doesn’t even have a purchase history. How was she offered a bag on the day of the opening when only VIP clients were invited? Seems like they’re giving out B and K to people they know. This store is already going to the shi**er. What an absolute disgrace to Hermès’s heritage.

I saw a girl post she was offered the K Picnic Bag and the K Pochette. She ended up with the K Pochette. Unsure about her history but people mentioned her bags are pre-owned and not from the store. I couldn’t tell you how she landed an invite to shop the store with VIPS. Very Upsetting.

You are correct. There is only one table for women’s scarves, but they were pulling scarves out from drawers below as well. There were quite a lot of 90s. They had some 70s, and 55s as well. There were a few CSGMs. Two trays of twillys. Overall, not as many as some of the larger boutiques I’ve visited, but I will take it.

So I had my appointment today and I scored something exciting, I got my pegase rodeo!! Eek I was so excited. I would also like to say that my SA was the manager of the Troy location very nice and lovely lady, I also picked her brain a bit with things that are said on this forum. No one was offered a shadow birkin or a Himalayan nor has anyone been offered birkins or Kelly’s as of recently, I even asked about VIPs coming in and being invited to shop the store “early” she shut the rumors down as being not true, which I am choosing to believe considering she is the manager. I am a fairly well client at Hermes and I went to the store today with my Birkin and my mom brought her Birkin as well, we asked for Kelly’s or Birkins and she said they have not gotten any stock yet besides the display bags. Something that I thought was cool is that at Troy they allow you to try on the Kelly’s they have a 25 and 28 for try on they are in the colors Malachite in swift leather and then a orange kelly in Togo, overall I recommend anyone to go and make an appointment as it is pretty cool they will let you try on a 25 and 28 kelly. Another tid bit is that they have FULL access to your purchase history at any US boutique, they pulled up my entire Chicago sales history.

Wow. I am in such disbelief that the manager Natalie blatantly lied to you. I had friends that were personally invited by the manager to shop on the first day and were offered Kellys and Birkins. Take a look at the invite attached to this post. Also, as mentioned in my previous posts and others posts, there were several Instagram “influencers” who shopped the first day and scored Kellys. I have attached pictures for proof. Lastly, all stores have access to your full purchase history—this is nothing new. What I learned from purseonfleek is that hermes doesn’t like to discuss other people’s purchase history or offers. It’s possible the manager didn’t want to tell her the truth.

I don’t think the person on fb lied about getting the Birkin touch. You can go on the hermes fb page and see her post and the bag she was offered. I’m just surprised they offered a new customer a Kelly picnic.

It’s so disappointing when SAs/SMs blatantly lie to the customers like this. There are pictures all over social media of people receiving these offers (Kellys, Birkins, shadows, and Himalayans) at the new store. It’s also no secret that new store openings receive a plethora of stock to sell on opening weekend; both to justify the store opening costs and also to create a publicity buzz. New stores are given high sales goals that they must meet for rewards from corporate and corporate does their part by routing high price coveted items that would otherwise go to other stores. (Careful observers will also note a decline in “offer” posts from other parts of the country in the week surrounding a new store opening…)

Wow, do you mind sharing the name of the facebook group?

About how much would you need to spend to be invited to an opening and why would Instagram bloggers be invited? How does Hermes know who the bloggers are? To me it’s all crazy! I can see clients who have shopped for years and not so ostentatious be invited, like me LOL. I’ve loved the brand for almost 25 years because it was lesser known and not so showy.

Every store in the United States can see your history. If your purchases were made out of the country they can’t access your history.

Manager lied to you. She also doesn’t need to discuss what clients in her store purchased.

Direct proof of the shadow Birkin

If I start buying from the Troy store, I will have to start all over with an SA. I was already informed that if I start buying local here that I will not be able to get anymore bags from the store I have been buying from all along.
Is this for quota bags only? So you can’t buy any bags except from your “home” store? This doesn’t make sense. What about when you travel?

I’m hoping to get a MI scarf if one is made. Would that make Troy my local store? :confused1:

After reading my post, I may have confused....

My SA (out of state) mentioned that if I buy items from the Troy store (MI), he will not be able to offer me any more bags.

Well said - disappointing - but I’ve realized that I’m incredibly patient when it comes to H and when a bag is meant to come to me- it will ...still waiting for an appointment- I’m thrilled to even get into the store ! LOL  (obviously , it doesn’t take much to get me excited) waiting patiently until the hubbub dies down -I was able to make appointments in both Chicago and Orlando the same day...so I just need to exercise a little more patience ...frankly- my wallet is glad !
