Check out the burberry's black and blue label in Japan too. They are only available in in Japan. The items are generally cheaper than Burberry's Ldn. Love their bags, scarves and cufflinks for DH

There is a Chinese SA at Hermes ginza that can speak chinese, formally from China, settled in Jpn many years ago. Very good service and totally nice. Heard they have H scarf just for Jpn.

Not forgetting, even Longchamp has ltd edt colours just for Japan, even violet for their IT Bag. (just a few shops from Ginza Hermes)

wow wow wow robee, thanks for all the info, I got a feeling I will be extremmmmmely busy in Tokyo ... lol

would you happen to know the name of that Chinese SA? It would be great to find a SA that speaks Chinese, and yes I will definitely ask to see H scarf just for Japan, it would be so much fun!

... according to weather forecast, typhoon is coming towards HK in the next few days, crossing my fingers now ... hopefully it will go away before Friday :)

Her name is Takayame, Tel 090 368 48330 (thanks jadeite)
If my memory didn't fail me, there is only one chinese SA, and she told me she specialise in servicing custy who converse in chinese.

She said if you have any H needs, e.g. if you are looking for some particular colour (bi or tri) or exotic, give them a call few days to a week in advance, they can help to search country wide for you. Even if you are not buying the birkins and kellys, it's an awesome sight to look at them display on the shelves. The hermes at takashimaya also display birkins on shelves and you can buy them.

There is no GAP in Hong Kong. They have GAP in Japan, and the stock they carry is slightly different from the states, they have many pretty things, especially for little ones and kids. And yes, good basic for me too. The store in Shibuya is big, 3 floors. The one at omotesando has a nice corner for parents or bored DH to sit around:-)

Just to add more, don't forget about FOOD!:D Try out as many local dishes as you can. Enjoy yourself in Japan. Sakara, great thread!

You know how i eat every 2-3 hours....... ramen, tonkatsu, ice cream, ramen again, sashimi, and tempura. One day like 6-7 meals :p

And yes, make sure to make a visit to their supermarket. Tokyu at Shibya has a good selection of fresh local produce and food stuff.
