Ladies are the H stores in Japan efficient about issuing CITES?

Unfortunately No. They need a few days to issue the CITES. For Ostrich, it's about 2 days? for Croc I believe it can be up to 1 week (or less)

on the bright side, i'm pretty sure CITES (for japan) is mainly just for tax refund purposes so if you're willing to forgo the 5% rebate you can still bring it home. that has been my experience. however, my disclaimer is that i don't live in the states which might have stricter controls on wildlife import?

Apologies, I went earlier in the year and can't remember. With resellers, it's hit / miss, with a pinch of luck. That's the part whereby you never know what you may find Hope you find what you're looking for, my advice would be to visit as many as you can

I saw from the Asia Price thread that a 35cm Birkin costs 1,040,000YEN in Japan. Does anyone know whether this price has included VAT? If not, what's the % of VAT? How much tax refund can a tourist get please? TIA
