I suppose Ginza is the flagship so nice for a visit but don't expect the Bs or Ks as too many tourists competing and SAs are not as keen to serve anymore. They make polite excuses. I find Tokyo stores really quite pathetic in the last 3 years. I would also avoid Isetan and Takashimaya Hermes for the same reasons. Mostly just tourists asking for Bs and Ks the situation is just unappealing. I have a much better time at the resellers at least the service attentiveness is genuine.

Ginza always seem to have 2 or 3 CDCs and KDs vs other stores which usually just one or none. Ginza silk SAs are very nice but can't say the same for te leather and bag section but can't blame them as tourists day in day out asking or demanding for Bs Ks all the time.

That's good news for me! Craving for a new kd and / or CDC at the moment.. Thanks for all the info, Jadeite! ☺️

Just back from Tokyo. Inventory overall is very very low, mostly men's bags. No Bs Ks etc not even wallets. Resellers have excellent stock though.

Thanks for the report, Jadeite. I might be returning to Tokyo for work meetings in July but it sounds like it won't be fruitful to schedule an extra shopping day if the inventory has not improved since my last visit. If only I could stomach the prices at L'Ecrin!

I don't know about Tokyo but in Osaka, the inventory is slowly going back to pre-price increase/tax increase levels. Was lucky enough to score a B yesterday. The SA made me promise to keep the details to a minimum when posting online as they are being bombarded by some very rude tourists requesting for B and Ks. Was offered a croc K40, a croc B40 and finally a Birkin I could afford.

I can say for a fact that some SAs are no longer saying what they really have in stock while others are still honest about what they have and don't have. Generally, I feel the more senior SAs are the more truthful ones

Thanks for this report, manilamerc! If I have extra time in my schedule, perhaps I will focus my H quest outside of Tokyo. That is an interesting observation about some SAs no longer being honest. I definitely picked up on that at H Ginza and it was totally shocking compared to service everywhere else in Tokyo!

guess the Bs and Ks are bought by resellers too.

Maybe. Or they may simply prefer to serve local Japanese clientele. I've seen tourists being very demanding and rude despite being well dressed and carrying expensive bags. It's just distasteful. Some tourists also insist on getting a bag because they apparently read Tpf and have quoted some people who recently got a bag from the japan store. I just feel sorry for those SAs especially when English is not their best language.

True jadeite. They are somewhat irritated by TPF because the tourists actually quote from the forums. And yes, they can be quite rude at times. When I as at the store, there was actually a tourist demanding for a B and she was saying that you could get one in Japan. thats why they made me promise not to mention names, store locations and even the bag specifics online. I was more than happy to oblige seeing as how they get bombarded by tourists nowadays.

The people at the store was even saying that because of the internet, they no longer get as much stocks and Japan is no longer the land to get B and Ks. I guess Hermes Japan is now limiting stuff they get and who they can sell to. Tourist sales for B and K has risen dramatically and they don't like it and pretty much our forum for making it that way.

I just went to the H shop in Ginza and got an Evelyne.. When purchasing there was this rude lady demanding for a K or a B and even though the SA said none is available she insisted that they do have one.. After awhile she left angry..

Another example of poor rude behaviors. Japanese is a very polite culture these least we can do as tourists is be respectful.
