If you are talking about purchasing from Hermes stores, it really depends as there seem to be very few Bs coming in during October and November according to my SA. But no harm checking out the stores right?

It's still relatively easy scoring a Birkin in Tokyo. If you happen to know someone who's a regular at H boutiques, it will be easier to find the color/leather combo you want since they get a call when new bags come in. However, there is a limit of 2 bags (Birkins?) per customer per calendar year.

LuvBirkin, I want to buy one at the H shop and happy to hear that they have Birkins in stock (even though it is a few!). I was there in Feb and only 1 out of 4 stores had a Birkin. So I am hoping to see more this time. Thanks for the news!

iamaka, definitely will passby the Ginza store. I love to go there!

bebecu, l was heart broken last time when I was in Tokyo. The only thing that I heard from the SAs was "No Birkin!". Keeping my fingers crossed this time.

My understanding is same, that customers are allowed to purchase 1 Birkin per half calendar year in Japan H stores.

I have heard that a lot of resellers have been buying from Japan lately as stocks were more available. Even at higher prices compared to Europe and North America, resellers can still find customers who are willing to shell out the Yen price plus the heavy markup just to get the latest colors. so now, there are only few B/K around even in Japan. I don't know how true it is, personally.

Can anyone advise on the price of an etoupe Kelly 32 and etoupe Birkin 30 from Japanese boutiques? I know the average reseller prices. Just want to find out about the boutique price. I am UK Size 14, 157cm. Wonder if Kelly 32 / Birkin 30 is ok for me.

I am in Tokyo for 4 days. I found this bag at 'Ginzo' second hand store in Shunjuku. The store has a great reputation and guarantees authenticity. Below is the bag I am thinking to go back for. It is a 35cm birkin, with an F in a square stamp - 2002. Can someone help identify this leather? I can tell it is not togo or clemence... Is the leather practical? holds shape? prices higher or lower at H stores? I am trying to figure out if I am getting a good deal :)
I know the photo is not exactly great quality, but any information would be helpful so I can make my decision tomorrow.
Also, the F stamp is a little strange - it is sideways.... any thoughts?
