Can this be Ardennes leather - the one that has been discontinued? I was not aware of this leather but now that I did research online it makes sense. I believe my nice SA did try to tell me it is Ardennes but since I didn't recognize the color name I dismissed it....

The leather is listed as アルデンヌ = Ardennes on their website, so you are right!

I think it is natural Ardennes from the stamping and color. Just my two cents and I could be wrong.

Any word of advice on this leather? better than the traditional togo or clemenc? more or less expensive? I also found another bag - same color, but in Togo for a little bit more money.... which one should I go for?

Please help solve a dilemma:
There are two bags I cannot decide between:

Both 35cm Birkins in Gold color with Gold hardware
One is a 2001 Togo - great shape
The other is 2002 Ardennes - great shape

I am not familiar with Ardennes leather at all. I am a little hesitant about it since it has been discontinued....

Togo is 28,000 JPY more expensive than Ardennes.

There is also a 3rd option, which is the cheapest of the three: 1997 Swift leather - but it is soooo slouchy that I am not sure about it....

Need to make a decision within the next 24 hour before my flight home

if i were u i'll decide depending on the condition of the bag (choose the one with better cond). and if u are a person who will sell after sometime then go for togo. hth
