From the Greenwich Patch, 12/11/2012:

"Even though workers installed Hermes of Paris window dressings last week, for those in the market for all things country and horsey—saddles and stirrups the signatures of the label founded by Thierry Hermes—they'll have to wait until spring for the opening.

According to a woman who answered the phone at Hermes corporate headquarters in New York City, "the opening has been delayed until May 1." She referred further questions to Hermes spokeswoman Cena Jackson who said it was "premature" to discuss the store's opening and requested all further questions be emailed to an address that turned out to be "undeliverable." Jackson did not return a subsequent phone call."

thank you for the information! i am sure you are excited for May 1 :smile1:

Given the amount of ready cash available in and around Greenwich, I despair of ever being on the receiving end of anything from this store. let alone a bag. I would be such an UIP (Unimportant Person) here that I doubt I will ever even enter this location, lest my self-esteem be dealt a fatal blow. Greenwich has not, in my experience, been the most welcoming place to "outsiders," and when one adds to this the occasional snobbishness of any Hermes boutique, my blood runs cold. :p

I stopped by the Hermes boutiques in both Richard's and Mitchell's about 2 weeks ago, and an SA in Mitchell's said that it still looks like May of this year...and knew of no other details, or at least, did not disclose them to me. So perhaps...still a bit of a mystery! Would love to know the opening date...at the very least, to browse and look at all the new pretty stock, especially if there will be any special edition items commemorating the new boutique (similar to the Short Hills boutique)....
