Today was the first day of the sales and I was in the last session. We got there 30 mins before and queued. When it was time they let small groups of people in even though we were all in the same time slot and about 10-15mins for the next to control the crowd. We entered the hall, on the left was women shoes and the right was RTW, scarves, accessories and a small section for men’s. The RTW was arranged on racks by size, surprisingly some were only last season’s. Accessories - only one orange cap, no other hats, only red clic h bracelet in framboise PM size, no other colours, a few bangles and a leather bracelet in brown or black looks like small size. No twillies (not that I could see), only a small counter of scarves,a dark colour with sequins and mostly red/orange. I didn’t go to the shoes. Queued up 40 mins to pay. 60% off everything.

That 60% just made my day! I ended up with a pair of boots, 3 tops and 2 pairs of pants. It was tricky trying to find what size suited me best since the fitting rooms were always occupied. I saw the bride de gala tie dye and mousseline pieces in orange too, but I am curious as to what the navy with red sequins scarf was. An exceptional piece? I was in the last session for the day and the men's RTW section was looking rather sparse at the end of the session. I'm wondering whether there will be different pieces being offered for the next sessions.

That’s great you made use of the discounts. Yes there’s hardly much left in the men’s, my friend had a chat with the cash register guy asking if they’ll restock and he said what’s there is all they have.

One thing I learnt is probably to keep checking back at the racks as items are quickly put back by the assistance from the fitting rooms.

Glad you got to go and that you found something nice for yourself! Thanks so much for sharing your experience.

I went in on first day first session. Long queue by 9:50am. First 20 or so was let in about mins after 10. We were the next 20 ushered in. Was quite hectic . Got myself 2 pair of shoes ( a pair of sneakers and boots), one top, clic clac in pink and one silk scarf. Hubby managed to get 2 pairs of shoes as well, one top , scarf and a tie. Long wait to pay by 11:30. Out of the sale a bit after 12 and saw long queue outside.

I heard from another friend that the session on Saturday has been cancelled due to everything being sold out. For the people that managed to attend, what do you think of the process of checking the QR codes in the line outside the hotel? Did you see any other people who didn't have a QR code sneaking in?

  • Wow
Reactions: Logic
How they did it for us was the lady scans the QR code and confirms you have a guest. She goes down the line scanning to let about 20 people in and tells the security who is the last person.

What they should have done is check ID too against the code.

Did you see otherwise?

Great haul, well worth the wait!

I’ve been wondering what it was like at the start of the day, were the RTW racks full? Was there just the framboise Clic H? I felt our group ransacked the RTW pieces it was quite bare as I look at it whilst queuing up to pay

There were two lines, on either side of the hotel entrance. The lady came down and scanned the QR code but it was a while before we were let in. There were two people in front of me that had their QR codes scanned but after a while, their friends (4 other people) cut in before me. I don't know if their codes were checked at the back of the queue and they jumped in front to join their friends or whether they tagged along without a code because that was the only time they checked. I thought it would have been more sensible to check the code just before the guests are let into the ballroom area. That's how they did it the last time I was went (4 years ago).

I don’t think so. They are pretty strict. When you paid at the cashier and not in their system they asked to register.

There were red clic clac . Only took the pink one as I wanted a scarf too.
They were still plenty of rtw when I was there , I just couldn’t be bothered going through the racks. I wanted some pants but none that I like was in my size.

That was so unfair if they jumped queue and with no QR . The first session was orderly. I hope that was not the case with people letting in friends with no code.
I would be very annoyed if I chose saturday and got cancelled due to queue jumpers

Congratulations on your purchases! Which scarves did you manage to get if you don't mind me asking. Big scarf fan.

I'm kinda rethinking my choice of pants. I love the fabric but I don't think the cut of the Seoul pants suits my height very well. I'll have to take it to the tailor to get the hems done anyway so i might get him to make it less... baggy. Shopping on adrenaline clouds my judgement
