good luck all in getting your dream bag. i'd love another H bag, but as a stay at home mum can't justify the expense.. if i do get another (really regret selling my vintage kelly from 1962!) then i'll justify on a cost-per-wear basis, as i know they will be bags i will keep and enjoy for many years to come, rather than splurging £1000 on another brand which i will grow tired of in 6 months or a year... hope this helps even a little bit...
Plus, i figure if you make little savings here and there it all adds up - we have 2 small kids ages 1 and 3.5, so we don't have a social life, eat in fancy restaurants or buy takeout regularly... We have a small house loan and a nice car but aren't extravagant - i buy all my clothes from GAP or TK Maxx, as designer stuff is wasted when you have 2 small messy kids. so my luxuries are nice bags, watches, scarves and Hermes bits as and when i can afford it...i don't buy stuff that is in-fashion either as a) i'm too untrendy and b) i have iot when stuff looks dated and i need to get rid of it..i figure if i save money here and there i can maybe buy a scarf, twilly or accessory as and when..
