Hermès Stores Status Thread

It seems I will be forced to fly to Las Vegas the first week of October for a work meeting that I have been unsuccessfully trying to get switched to a Zoom meeting. While I plan on continuing that campaign, if I do end up in Vegas I will likely have a day mostly free. I do not want to be around crowds but I would love to hit up Alexander McQueen and Hermes in Wynn if I can do so safely. I see “appointment only” at H ... I am not a high roller ... I usually end up with a bracelet or some twillies or things like that in store (only one bag bought in store was a GP in San Fran). Does anyone know what the appointment only experience is like in Vegas?
They have limited the staff to 50% capacity and can each only have one customer per hour. Appointments begin on the hour with the anticipation that you’ll be out of the store within 30-45 minutes so they can spend the rest of the time cleaning. During that time, you are either shopping like normal or if it’s a busy time of day/week with most of the SAs having filled appointments, they may ask you to stay at one counter while they bring you requested merchandise to consider. Since the customer slots are limited, it’s courteous to make an appointment only if you are intending to buy something however don’t feel pressured to buy beyond your intentions (ie if you know you are just window shopping, probably skip it, but if you actually intend to shop, go for it!). Call the store, preferably at least a day in advance, to make an appointment. The number should also be posted on the store’s door. Have fun!

That is very helpful - thank you! I don’t want to waste anyone’s time if they can be selling to more profitable folks. But I do love to look at the eye candy and usually end up with something! Problem is I usually don’t have something “specific” in mind as I only get to H stores when traveling. And that hasn’t happened this year! I’ll decide once this trip gets closer ... but I really am not sure I am ready to be on a plane yet anyway (this from an every other week traveler pre-pandemic!)

Wanted to bump this thread and see if any US stores are closing again? I noticed pretty much all of Rodeo drive has been boarded up, not sure if Hermes is still doing appointments? My SA hasn’t responded to emails lately

I was at the Rodeo Drive location on Saturday. They are open by appointment only. Also, because of the protests that have happening, they might have limited their hours of operation.

Hi! Does anyone know the status of Wall St store? I texted my SA but haven’t heard back and I called the store a couple of times but the calls are routed automatically to voicemail. I was going to make an appointment so I don’t even know how to best contact them. Thanks!

If you can't get them, try calling H customer service. They are very helpful-when I was unable to reach Madison multiple times just to get an appt for spa ( and having left multiple VMs), I called CS, they called and 30 minute later an Sa was calling and made me the appt for spa-ing. ( caveat- it wasn't quite as painless as that- the first time I called CS, they said they would email the SM. Crickets. Maybe that fact that I mentioned that moved them a bit.).
Interesting info- the SA told me that all VMs go to a calling center, they are not picked up by the individual store. This certainly explains the lack of follow up.

I will second this. When I decided to see about taking my bag in to have the clochette repaired/replaced and possibly spa’ed at Madison Ave location, I bypassed trying to call the store directly and called CS directly. Mainly because I didn’t know any better, lol.
I didn’t have high hopes. But I figured, it was a good place to start.
I called on a Friday. And I already had another appt to be in the city on Monday at 11:00. I relayed this info to CS.
By the time our phone convo was over, she had emailed the after sales department at Madison ave, and told me they would be in touch. Much to my surprise, I received an email from someone in after sales almost immediately.
Not only did they say they’d be able to accommodate me the day I was coming in (just 2 days later), but they offered me appointments within 1/2 hour on from my other 11:00 appointment.... 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, etc.
I was very pleasantly surprised and appreciative that they were so accommodating. So don’t hesitate to reach out to CS and see if they can help you!

Thank you. Interesting info on the VM. Next time I will try CS if I can’t get through.

Thank you. Good to know that appointments are easy to come by at Madison. I’ve always avoided Madison as it is always so busy there, but with appointments only now, it may be a more pleasant shopping experience.

Note that these were both appts for after-sales ( spa services etc) I don't know if the same availability applies for a regular appt. It may, as the SA supposedly needs to act as intermediary ( I'll see next week when I go there).
Just FYI

Not on the west coast - but I received a call from Greenwich a little while ago telling me that they’ll be closing for 10 days. They’re hoping it’s only 10 days but are monitoring the situation and alluded that any reopening after this will be limited at first as well.

Had an appointment scheduled for next week that is now TBD.
