Hermès Stores Status Thread

My SA texted me that they are back in their boutique and doing curbside pickup. But they’re haven’t received any new deliveries yet.

What I don’t understand is why any of the H stores would have anything out. Since the lockdown started here, the H boutique has been literally empty - nothing in the windows, nothing on the shelves. You can see inside the boutique a bit and absolutely nothing is out. (I pick up dinner from the same center at least once or twice a week)

I know in the same center the main jewelry store always puts everything in the vault every night and I believe most of the boutiques have done the same during lockdown. My Zimmermann SA doesn’t even know what they have and they can’t access their stockroom yet. So I would assume most high-end boutiques have vaults - or they should.

I think most of the USA Hermes Boutiques do not have things out- and if they did I understand most put things away/locked them up on Saturday as a precaution -
Feels like our country is tearing apart - trying to stay positive but this is all so terrible - several Hermès that we’re going to open this week have pushed back the date - and several that were doing curbside have suspended it indefinitely - until things settle - surprised your boutique reached out today- that’s positive. Glad somewhere is feeling safe.

Just an update. I don’t believe anyone was able to get into the store. As you can see the glass shattered but they already put up blockage. Another somewhat high end mall on the other hand with Burberry, Nordstrom, Apple store, got completely looted and damaged. It’s just utterly painful sitting at work at a hospital dealing with one crisis and hearing siren outside constantly about another. :frown:
I texted my SA. They are closed at least through tomorrow. Thank God it was Sunday and the store is not open on Sundays.

Tear gas was fired at the looters when they were trying to storm the Microsoft building there. And so they fled afterwards.

Those looters were a different group from the peaceful protestors that were in the park earlier. The peaceful protestors, those who were interviewed on Main St during their retreat, were just as shocked as all of us.

I hope that they are closed for at least...a long while before returning... for their safety.

My home store is being damaged and looted right now. I’m heartbroken.
I was close to that area around mid afternoon and my friend showed me his phone with people taking pictures across the street. It is so heart wrenching to see this and I wonder if Prada or Tory Burch were spared. Apparently someone was encouraging the looters to head to Bravern where the 'money' is. Omega store was emptied as well.

Hopefully omega was smart enough to put their stuff inside the vault. Prada was spared because they already put the plywood up. Tory Burch probably got looted because they moved from the bravern to Bellevue square and Bellevue square just got completely trashed.

I think their management will do the right thing. I really look forward to shopping there again when they are ready.
Me too! I can’t wait to see everyone at the stores...honestly both the team and other customers...like strangers. Not patients and not work colleagues. Now I realized the joy of meeting with strangers.

I don’t know if the vault would do any good. They took the whole safe out of Wells Fargo here.

Yup, and whatever they couldn’t get to, they burn down. Several retailers in the area are beyond repairable. Good thing all the luxury stores including H is an hr away from the city so they’re safe.

As in the room where they keep the safety deposit box? Yeeeesh.. may have to rethink my plan of keeping everything at the bank. Smh

I agree with you. I do enjoy meeting other customers at H. Looking forward to see the sa's and customers too. :flowers:

That is why the vandalization of the Bellevue H store is so shocking. It is quite far from the city where the real demonstrations were that day (Seattle), separated by a huge lake and miles of highways and neighborhoods, it is basically a sleepy, upper middle class residential city with a tiny strip of shops and restaurants. Therefore, it was specifically targeted with the idea of looting.
