According to thebaghag, this is wood marquetry on box leather

Amazing ! That is going to be extremely fragile, unless there is some serious backing in between the outside leather and the lining. Although guess it doesn't matter how fragile it is if the bag will spend most of its days inside the walk in closet of Jamie Chua or something similar.

I enjoyed the SS24 runway show very much.

I think some of the comments here illustrate why I (we?) need to revisit each season's RTW when it's actually in the store. If you go on the website and look at the RTW for sale, it looks very little like what went down the runway. I certainly don't recall any pink on the runway last spring, and so far everything I've bought this season is or has pink in it. Runway is removed from the sales floor: we see the direction and definitely the silhouettes, but what we actually buy might be a far-off riff on those pieces.

Just to illustrate (AW23):

If you look at the palette shot in my article, it looks very similar to the colors we saw this time around for SS24. I don't think we can gauge all the actual colors by the runway show; I think there will be at least some variety.

Instead, the way I see it in terms of Hermès' leather colors: Rouge H, Etoupe, Noir, Craie, Rouge de Coeur, Vermillion, Cocoan, Chocolat, etc.

I've been working my a** off to be in shape and I honestly can wear those pieces now, but I would feel a bit exposed. One could wear a jacket over anything midriff-bearing (which I've done), but Hermès RTW is rather expensive to be mostly covered up. I have been seeing more high-wasted pants this season, so I suppose that's an option, too.

Edited: OT
I must admit that the items presented for purchase are not quite the same as the ones showcased on the runway. As someone who has a penchant for buying runway pieces, I found the show to be rather lackluster. However, I shall withhold my final judgment until I see the detailed looks that will be displayed.

SS24RTW ?
dull and depressing

I know we shouldn't stereotype like 'florals? for spring? groundbreaking'
but that colour palette seemed so autumnal and joyless
even the grasses looked ready to harvest
some beautiful fabrics
and was there lazer-cut fine leather? that chevron design?

interesting that most contributors here have latched on to sandals and the odd bag
very little desire for the clothes

I did the same. The white dress is 13,500€. Apparently it comes apart into 3 pieces and you can play around with the buttons, so you can button it all the way around, or wear it separately as a top and skirt. I also noticed that it’s a racer back. @A.Ali did your SA tell you you had to commit to purchase if you place the order? I’m not ready to commit that much money for a dress I can’t try on! Especially this type of style! (As much as I like it on the model, it could all go horribly wrong when I put it on!)

Birkin 20 (if I recall correctly this is push offer) and yes that's a discoball charm/lock that comes with the bag.

The design on the Birkin 20 looks like what my bags could look like if my toddler and the mighty crayons got ahold of them  The disco ball charm looks as if someone pixelated the bag charm before posting to protect the charm's privacy (like in the Widlife thread)

That said, I wouldn't say no to either the Birkin or the Kelly posted here; love the charming drawings! Wonder if they'll actually be produced or just presented here for the press but not produced, like the metallic mini Kelly?
