Thank you for posting all these pics of close ups! I am so excited that Plumes have not been discontinued and these are dreamy colors which function as a "pop" but can be incorporated with neutrals...

Thanks for all the pictures!

As others have said I find the colours much more A/W than S/S, altough I'm a huge fan of reds and browns! Not very impressed but then I never am with Hermès RW. I love the Plumes and am super happy to have a Boxcalf red Plume which is almost 30 years old.

The sandals look like glorified Birkenstock which, IMHO, are better.

I enjoyed the SS24 runway show very much.

I think some of the comments here illustrate why I (we?) need to revisit each season's RTW when it's actually in the store. If you go on the website and look at the RTW for sale, it looks very little like what went down the runway. I certainly don't recall any pink on the runway last spring, and so far everything I've bought this season is or has pink in it. Runway is removed from the sales floor: we see the direction and definitely the silhouettes, but what we actually buy might be a far-off riff on those pieces.

Just to illustrate (AW23):

If you look at the palette shot in my article, it looks very similar to the colors we saw this time around for SS24. I don't think we can gauge all the actual colors by the runway show; I think there will be at least some variety.

Instead, the way I see it in terms of Hermès' leather colors: Rouge H, Etoupe, Noir, Craie, Rouge de Coeur, Vermillion, Cocoan, Chocolat, etc.

I do wonder how many Hermes RTW clients have small enough breasts and good enough abs to wear most of these clothes??

I've been working my a** off to be in shape and I honestly can wear those pieces now, but I would feel a bit exposed. One could wear a jacket over anything midriff-bearing (which I've done), but Hermès RTW is rather expensive to be mostly covered up. I have been seeing more high-wasted pants this season, so I suppose that's an option, too.

Some of my favourite looks, I liked the skirts (coated knitwear? and leather) the best but without the waist part. Didn't like the see through patterns and tops. I didn't really noticed that the colours aren't really summery, could indeed have done with a few more lighter colors. This collection seemed to have a tiny bit more chicness than usual, but I would have liked more and a bit more sexiness and femininity. By the way, the collection looked better in the vid than in the pics.

I just wanted to add that when its noted that collections don't feel very spring or summery people often forget that these SS pieces usually hit the shop floor in February or earlier.
Also having looked at many of the shows for SS24 I felt the Hermes show was one of the lighter ones in terms of feel and fabric.
just watch the Bottega and Balenciaga shows as an example.
Many shows were heavy (no pun intended) on knitwear and outerwear.
