The double bag is highly reminiscent of a Celine bag (now discontinued) called the symmetrical.

So many items in barenia, including the trimmings on a lot of the clothes, I wonder if H will be able to deliver.
In my opinion, Barenia will remain push offer only despite what we see on the runway. Just basing this off what I've observed in the past few season's shows and what was actually available at podium from chats I've had with my SA.

Sorry for veering OT of the original thread topic, but from conversations I've had with part of the Horizons team, I've also been told that Barenia is still very limited in supply. Especially in terms of having large enough, good quality hides for use on larger pieces. I was however informed that Peau Porc is very much resurrected and part of the heritage leather collection. Funnily enough, I had assumed this would be a firmer leather like chèvre, but from the swatch I was shown it's an incredibly soft and tactile leather and very light weight.

sorry for also being off topic but did you avail of Horizons?!:nuts::nuts:
do tell! (but maybe in PM; I know these things are hush-hush lol)

also good to hear about the new pigskin. yeah, the older pigskin used looked very stiff (I saw a Dalvy, Kelly Sellier, and Sac a Depeches).

just to stay on topic, here's a footwear from the SS 19 collection with Cityslide hardware

Good to know that H likes to cross-pollinate between men and women's stuff

Still on SS19 and PP leather. It's usually more to do with the age/size of the animal used than just the tanning process. It could also be that native French wild pig (boar) was previously used (they are still hunted in some regions of France) whereas perhaps they are going for peccary leather now. I'm guessing, but even improved tanning processes cannot transform leather beyond the natural properties of the animal.

Some similarity to Delvaux's Madame

But isn't the Madame a squared-off take on H's Art Deco Faco (indeed with a point) and 1938 clutch (rounded closure)?
