Hi all. I have a question- has anyone seen colorway 2 of costume de fete? It is some bluish greenish colorway? There doesn’t seem to be any pictures anywhere but the SA said he saw the number in the system with no pic.
I got to try on several costumes de fetes. I didn’t have a lightening bolt like I expected. But I am definitely getting one!
what do you all think? I think I am choosing between a ‘pretty” colorway of 05 w cream center and navy blue border and an h magic color combo of 03 fuschia W golds. It may not be worn as much but the colors are striking. Not sure goes with my complexion? I tried on @LKBNOLA ’s gris/mauve periwinkle one which is so very pretty but dull on me. And the bright blue one which feels too bright on me. As SA said, it is ‘the show’ on me. It also has too much highlighter orange and yellow for me. Tho I really wanted to love that one ‘on me’. If I framed I would definitely get the bright blue one.
sorry awful photos. They are so crisp in store and I don’t want to mangle them in the store.

Fushia! That is the one I did a double take and the cw brightens up your skin and very youthful-looking. Hope you picked this one.

I purchased the bright 08 in Carnival of the Animals and am contemplating at least one more. Yes, the animals look "silly" but for a reason. That music on the stand, "Carnival of the Animals" was written by Camille Saint-Saens, but what I didn't know until I did some research is that Saint-Saens did not want this work performed during his lifetime because he thought it was frivolous and might taint his reputation as a serious composer. But clearly he did not destroy it! When the piece was finally performed, it was met with great success and "Carnival of the Animals" is one of his best known compositions. The animals in the scarf are the animals represented in his music, with, of course, the artist's playful interpretation of Saint-Saens musical fun. You can find the orchestral versions on YouTube, and read on the web about why he composed the music--Wikipedia (The Carnival of the Animals) is a good place to start. Knowing the story behind the silly animals--which I wouldn't normally buy--made all the difference for me and now I will think of the music when I wear the scarf.

Thank you @ArcticMattie for taking your time to explain the story behind. I do hang the scarves when I don't wear them so I need to choose wisely. Now that I know the story, it makes sense of why all animals look like so. As @greycity said, I also like the color-ways and hems. Will check them out next time when I visit my SA!

I definitely do this (ahem...On the Beach x 4), and am currently in the process of narrowing down multiples of Le Carnaval des Animaux. Will be spamming many more pics here over the next few days!

Looks fantastic on you and we're twins on this one! My absolute fav colorway of them all - it's a perfect combo for me of design, colors and that hem :faint:

And finally, the first one going back: the green cw 08. Lovely but some of the colors are a bit too bold for me.

I have the exact same three colorways coming this week! I hope to send one back, but which one will it be for me? We shall see.

Thank you! :hugs: I did!! I couldn’t stop thinking about how I would never find this unique combo again. I thought I probably might not wear it much and was ok with it. But then Anna modeled it with just the border in a tight wrap and I was sold That I could wear it more than I thought. I am holding off on the more neutral cream. There is still good stock on that left

Thank you all for the amazing shots of your new-ins and to those of you especially @Nomad and @Snausages for fantastic boutique reconaissance! I have pretty much completed everything I want except the Rayures d'Ete shawl and waiting to see Tulipomanie. A lot that is tempting but for now I am happy with the Costumes de Fete in 06 I previously posted, the Jardin des Peintres double face in the marine clair cw05 (the reverse side is so different and unlike anything I have), Tea for Two in the blue cw02 that has been shown and then three other formats -- showing quick mod shots here in case they help others who are choosing! I am so very happy that this season so much is both online and in the boutiques before year end! Last season was so so slow and I am still waiting for cws of Fantaisie d'Etriers  Happy shopping and a very very Happy New Year full of health and happiness to all of the wonderful scarfies here!

Thank you, Maedi. That dark yellow color, which I called medium brownish orange earlier, is apparently the Hermès color of the season. An interesting challenge is to find a S/S 2023 scarf that doesn’t contain that color. All four of my new scarves have it, even the red/black Tea for Two.
That's good to know.
It makes such a vivid contrast to the howling wolf/coyote.

Super helpful. Thank you so much and your selections are gorgeous on you.

2 scarves arrived on Saturday but no modeling shots as I also got diagnosed with the flu last Friday even though I had my vaccine in October and have been super careful. I forgot how miserable the flu can be and luckily got to urgent care right away and on Tamiflu and I am just feeling a tad better today. Everyone please be careful - there is so much sickness out there.

These are photos of Costumes in cw1 from my SA and online photos of double face Le Jardins des Peintres cw5. They are both absolutely stunning IRL. I wear a lot of black and neutrals so these will work so well for me. The Batik is such a beautiful homage to his heritage and the detail is amazing and I covet some additional cw's down season perhaps.

This is also my first double face scarf. I love the pattern and the juxtaposition of the cws on each side. The bright side immediately reminded me of a Warhol and the soft palette of the tropics where I wish I was right now sitting under a swaying palm tree instead of in the cold bitter winter.

I will post mod shots when I am feeling better. Happy holiday and all the best in 2023 to everyone.

So sorry to hear you are ill, Balthus, please take good care. Your choices are lovely and it will be fun to see your modeling photos when you are better!

Hi all! Here are some mods and a flat pic of a little Christmas treat. I’m really loving everyone’s pictures!

I was reading the story on the h.com website - I love when the stories are there to provide insight and inspiration. This one is still definitely on my list. I am waiting to see more IRL photos as this one is a tough one for me color-way wise at least the ones on the US website. Thanks for this.

Has anyone by chance bought Carnaval des Animaux in CW 06 Aqua/Vert/Jaune and have any mod shots? I am down to that CW and another I am looking a but our local boutique didn't have any of these. Online pics, of course, not terrible helpful.

Hi here you go (yes, I ordered most of the colorways and still struggling to narrow them down!). This one has a fresh, Easter-y, springtime vibe but I find lavender to be difficult to integrate into my wardrobe. Such hard choices with this design!
