I am not keeping this but thought I would post some mod shots of Costume de Fete cw 05-- the black/cream neutral one. Beautiful border on this one but a lot of cream in the center field!

Gorgeous border! I’d struggle with the centre cream so close to my face too. What are you keeping? I’m thinking of the mauve but worried it has brown in it, which doesn’t suit me (haven’t seen it in person yet).

I am keeping this one. Bought it in store and have ordered others to see as @cali_to_ny says, it is the only way since no store has the same or complete inventory. I'd like a bright cw but so far, unles the cyclamen works, this is the best cw for me. I love it. Editing to add: this is cw 06 mauve/gris perle/bois de rose. I think the brown you ar ereferrin gto is really a muted rosewood-- more pink in shade than brown...

Thank you SOOOOOO much for this! It is lovely, but I can see from this that it is too pastel for me. My only hope at this point is the vibrant green colorway. I hope it doesn't have too much of a pastel vibe on me.

I think I’ve reached the same conclusion on 06. Here are some shots of 04 which I’m also returning because the colors are a bit similar to my pink/khaki colorway of Objets de Curiosite from last season.

I love the colors. I love it flat and love it tied, but know in my heart of hearts that this much pastel silk on me will only end up in the "for sale" pile in a year or so. There have been very few exceptions to that in my case.

The most surprising one you showed was the one that looked a bit like it had been dip dyed with blue. On the website (of course) it looks fairly drab, but you mod shot made it glow. I'd love to see more of that one if you have a minute and are so inclined for some other ties of it.

I am glad to help @Hanton! And I agree. Everyone I showed it to said the same thing. I knew the mauve was for me the minute I saw it in the store, but good to be sure as you can't see the subtleties from the web/stock photos very well.

Oh, thank you @Marie-the-Mary! You are so kind. To me it has proven to be the most harmonious cw. I have a black bordered/burgundy and blue Zabavushka that is also quite folkloric in its "vibe" so I am delighted with this softer cw of this design, equally charming in its own way. Congratulations to you (again if I already commented) on your lovely Jardin des Peintres!

Here are photos of my Costume De Fete in CW 1. I could not love it more. Sorry I am terrible at selfies and it's a gloomy rainy day here so I looked like a ghost so off with my head! But the beauty is in the scarf. This one is perfect for me. It immediately lifted my spirits as soon I opened the box!

My first double face and she's a beauty! I love both sides. Le Jardin des Peintres in CW5. Another winner for me. The bright colors remind me of a Warhol and the soft side colorway is very calming. I am thrilled with this one as well. Now waiting on Tea for Two in red/black and deciding on a few more. I may have to quit this season in the first week of January!
