Here’s my feeble attempts at basic scarf tying (wanted to try the more sophisticated knots but got side lined when the kitties decided to be nosy - worried about the younger one’s claws!)It was rainy and grey all day so there wasn’t much light

I don’t think it’s superfluous, but I saw several CWs of this butterfly scarf today and I’m sorry to say that the printing looks cheap. There is no texture or depth, just surface blobs of color. I was shocked and very disappointed. I would say don’t buy it until you can see it IRL.

This is going to be such a hard choice for me....
You have a point, moma, it doesn't look intricate at all! I expected depth and luminosity like the PdS scarves, which certainly have a lot of detail that made it look 3D.Some stealth photos of the butterfly scarf:
