Absolutely. It's kind of put me off them TBH. We are no doubt their most slavish, faithful following. Oh well, there's always eBay and the vintage market to carry on with......I respect that you don’t want to get in a legal tangle with h, but since h apparently is reading this - what morons at the company are seriously taking away the biggest scarf revenue generator they have? Seriously. Yodaling and wen aren’t hacking h to get these photos. I even know how they do it. All of these pictures have been released by h. If you post something to your website, it’s public. Whether it’s linked or not to whatever page, they are the ones uploading it to public domain. I find this incredibly off-putting as someone who has spent over $3k on spring 2019 alone so far, and it’s only January. Lemme tell you, that won’t be the case if this policy continues.
Shouldn't matter where it's released - once it's out, it's out. While it is disappointing news, I'm willing to bet most of us don't run a multi-billion dollar company and I'm sure they have their reasons which likely go a little beyond our fanclub's understanding
As far as the issue on what is/isn't released, region may be a factor as it is my understanding that certain countries get specific designs before others... who knows![]()
Well, they will need to find a way of those in another country no longer being able to go onto the US site, or the Japanese site, or Australian, or anywhere except their own country of residence.......the public domain is the public domain and once info is posted it's out there in the whole wide world. Just another irritating piece of H secrecy. While it is disappointing news, I'm willing to bet most of us don't run a multi-billion dollar company and I'm sure they have their reasons which likely go a little beyond our fanclub's understanding

It looks that 2 of my posts have been deleted. I cannot find which ones, maybe some featuring screenshots of the french site in december when a lot of new designs appear at once.Plenty of us have business experience even if on a smaller scale, and I cannot think of a strong business rationale here. I don't think that any pictures posted were, you know, from people hacking into Hermes and stealing their completely unreleased designs, or breaking into a warehouse before first shipments went out and photographing the contents...
Having said that, I do wonder if @Vlad has over-deleted vs. what was needed (no offense, @Vlad, I wouldn't want to deal with Hermes' legal, either). I would be curious to understand what specific guidance, if any, has been received.
What cw is the Animapolis? These three things, bag and scarves, are beautiful. My newest additions Animapolis in two color ways and L’Art du Bojagi. I can wear all three of these with my vert cypress!!

I deeply regret the opportunity of embracing all the cw of a particular design here. It was very useful too to have an overlook of the all season's production. And let's not talk about the late all-en site...
IMO, this makes the shopping experience smoothless.
The request was rather vague, but pointed out @yodaling1 's postings from early December. I deleted those and subsequent posts from this month in this thread.
Fact is that the images posted are indeed copyrighted by Hermes and (perhaps at the time of H noticing) partially unreleased to the public (?). H holds copyright to all those images either way, I am not sure in how far fair use is applied to the images.
There are other posters in this thread who shared collection photos, but they were not explicitly called out in the takedown request, so I did not remove them, nor any other user posted images.
This is terribly disappointing I am sure, but seeing as it was an official DMCA request on behalf of H corporate and we run the danger of our host shutting down our entire website due to non-compliance, I had to take action.
I came here regularly for inspirations. Sad I won't be able to see all the wonderful posts.
I fully understand your point. The request was rather vague, but pointed out @yodaling1 's postings from early December. I deleted those and subsequent posts from this month in this thread.
