Hello all,

I recently heard of drbagsg where they do a coating on your bags and shoes. Have any of you done it before? Is it worth to do it?

Yes i sent my light coloured chanels to them but not for hermes. I wont recommend because i heard if the hermes has treatment done elsewhere besides hermes spa. Then u cant send back to Hermes spa after that. So better not. Besides i have light coloured hermes which i have owned for more than a decade and they still look as good! Hermes leather quality is really superb.

it's true, my SA said the same thing. they wont accept your bag if youve done coating or other treatment elsewhere.

I recently started to purchase from Hermes in hope to build my profile and one day get my quota bag. I’m thinking if visiting the store/purchasing something every 2-3 months is acceptable? Will my pre-spend “expire”? Thanks in advance!
 
It won’t expire if you are regularly visiting the store. 2-3 months basis should be ok. I heard it MIA in a year then May expire.

Anyone has gotten the furry Orans before? Do you walk well in it? Does it stain with sweat? I was offered but didn’t take it as it seems a bit off wearing those in Singapore…
I got a pair from last season. no problems with sweat stains. But the fur on the insole will wear off with wear which is expected with fur products. I wear it out on the streets of Singapore :smile:

I have spent sometime reading this thread and have a question. Can you please share your expertise.

I have been shopping at Hermes for about five months buying only items I love. Recently my SA and I had a chat about the wish list. This was really exciting because we never once spoke about this and naturally I would love to get my wife a bag. I shared with my SA the bag model and specifications but I was told the color I requested is not available. My SA suggested to get more common colors which are neutral colors but the challenge is my wife is not a fan of these colors.

My question is are we allowed to choose the color or hardware or leather we would like to purchase or we have to purchase what is offered to us? I have read that shoppers typically share the wish list with the SA and the SA put the request forward to the Store Manager. Upon approval the bag will be made and the client can expect the bag in the coming months.

I am sorry if this question sounds very amateur but actually I am very lost at the moment. Thank you.

If you’re talking about choosing the model (b or k), leather, color, hardware, stitching - it is a special order and different from the regular offers.

If not, on the other hand, your SA is asking you to be flexible on your options, maybe the color you are asking for is not in season, and because with Hermes we dont usually, if not most of the time, get exactly what we asked for. Example, like what the other members here have mentioned, you asked for a birkin 25 gold togo in ghw, your SA might offer you Chai or Biscuit instead, or gold togo in phw. It is up to you whether to accept such offer or not and it may or may not affect future offers.

You can indicate the desired specifications (colour, hardware, leather) to the SA and be clear about how flexible you are willing to be (e.g., this specific combination and nothing else, or be open to other colours in same family etc.). If the specific colour is not in season (i.e., not being produced), then Hermes won't be able to offer it. Also, Special Orders (SOs) are a whole different ballgame.

In general, customers shouldn't have to purchase what is offered. But I do think it would not reflect well on your profile if you reject a QB that you had asked for...
