If it makes you feel any better, my SA ghosts me all the time and Ive been a customer for 10 years. I don’t take it personally and simply attribute it to he/she being too busy to reply. And know he/she has read my message as it will brought up in conversation when we meet up. The old way of shopping where SAs will text you when certain things she thinks you may like is in store is over. I say to give your SA the benefit of the doubt and dont be upset about it. But at the same time hedge your bets by starting another relationship at another store.
I am a relatively new client (started mid 2021) and I have to say, yes, it is normal for my SA to ghost me (oh I forgot to reply you, I didn't see your message, etc) or just simply takes too long to reply to something such as making an appointment or checking stock for items. I reckon that since COVID, the stores have a surge of new customers. They don't have time or see a real need to check in with old clients because everyone will check in with them. Fastest fingers and legs first since no reservations on a lot of items so you literally have to drop everything and head down. And I also have to agree, you need to be quite upfront what you want (but also need to pick the right moment). Waiting for a proactive offer will take forever...

Is that reasonable behaviour though? I'm in sales and I would never ghost my client, just out of politeness... Don't get me wrong, my SA is tardy too and I'm also wondering the same thing (i.e. what's up???)
I also pondered the same question! I am also in sales and I would never never ghost any client. I would reply even if to buy some more time. But I've gotten used to the H way. Just have to be patient.

My SA says she doesn’t even have time to go to the toilet. So I guess going to the toilet takes priority over replying messages. Lol….

On a serious note, I had been so busy in my work at a point in time that I had to interrupt someone mid sentence to dash to the loo. It’s not fun. So, I go easy on my SA nowadays.

Yes agree. Let's keep it fun and enjoyable.

BTW, does it seems like it's been consistent low inventory at the stores now? I haven't been able to find things since Nov last year. I know there was the RTW collection that came out in Jan (and some shoes), but other than that, there's been nothing new. I love Hermes and I love going in to shop for different things but lately it feels like there's just nothing to see.

I feel you dear. I relocated back to SG too and had to restart the process. Depending on where you relocated from, SG’s level of prespend & level of competition may/may not shock you. But honestly, since you’re already in SG, there’s no point comparing.

I found a nice SA after visiting 3 local stores but I don’t think I have the same kindda relationship as my o/s SA. The truth is, relationships take time to build. My advice to you is not to lose your relationship with your other SA. When you visit for work/leisure, go in, say hello etc.

I was in HK before moving to Sg. HK was a different level of game. I felt pressured shopping in the store. My previous SA would tell me to buy everything under the sky if possible - sometimes I gave in to her ‘suggestions’ but mostly I just want to enjoy the shopping moment there.
Do agree that to keep the relationship- if we could ever travel easily again and no quarantine sigh

Thank you all for your thoughts and sharing your lovely experiences, moving forward, will just go to the store if we need anything. Surprisingly, got a message from her asking me to see new RTWs :) didn't go though..
We did enjoy our H journey, and we did get beautiful bags, maybe time to just enjoy the brand whenever needed.
Good luck with all your H journey!

The new season scarves have started to trickle in.There are also new H clic bracelets - the ones with prints.

I was super surprised when I dropped by the store to buy some gifts today, and my SA gave me some angbaos! Looks like they do have some in Singapore, if you want to drop by to get yours. They look very fancy -- I'll have to save them for special occasions like weddings.

True. I visited yesterday as well. My SA knowing that I am not Chinese asked first if we celebrate CNY and I said yes since my husband is Chinese. They look so fancy that I dont want to use them. :giggle:
