Hi guys,
need some help. if anyone have return or exchange their kelly or birkin in singapore?
I just bought the k28 today as i was too excited and overwhelmed, then i reached home to realize i want a k25 more.
What can i do now?
Sorry do you mean you bought the 28 at a store in SG? Then by all means make an appointment, return it immediately at that same store to the same SA and explain why. We all know the first few offers of a quota bag can cause headiness and an adrenaline rush which results in confusion and perhaps making a mistake. On top of that, the drug-like Hermes scents mingling in the boutique air. Just say all this caused you to be carried away and you rather wait for a K25. Declining bags has never, never caused problems for me. That said, I have never bought and returned anything, but your SA can probably tell from your sincerity and reasoning. It’s likely to be another wait though. Whatever it is, please don’t go and sell it. Good luck!

I encountered something like this as well when I just started my H journey.
DH and I went to one store on a quiet weekday evening to ask about a specific scarf
design which we really like but the store said it's out of stock.
We then asked if there's stock at other stores so that they can help transfer because we will
like to get other items as well and hope to consolidate our spend with that store.....
and they said it's out of stock at other places too.
After the scarf, we asked about homeware and they also said it's out of stock and we proceeded
to ask if we can place an order with deposit for it. The store said it is not possible. :blah:

As we are pretty near to another H store, we walked over immediately to ask about those items and,
to our surprise...., that exact scarf was available!!! :cursing:
And....we also managed to place order for our homeware.
I think transferring items from another store doesn't count as the consolidating spend... because I think it's considered a sale by the store that made the transfer.

But their response on homeware is pretty strange though - I've never encountered being turned down for placing an order for homeware. Especially since they like selling homeware items... so weird...

Oh, I wasn’t aware that the transferred item is not considered as consolidated spent. I have a muffler just transferred for me recently, would like that to be considered but if it’s not then too bad.

Oops, that's really an unpleasant experience! It's odd that they told you it is not possible to place an order for houseware items. I was told to place an order and deposit first. Those items are now really popular, it takes months to come in, judging from what I've been reading on the forum + SA informed it could take between 4-6 months.

I think this kinda of experience kinda solidified the notion that it is simply just hard to get anything from H. Or rather, really have to bump into a good, proactive SA kind. Requires a bit of luck on that.

Yeah... I guess our H journey with that store is just “not meant to be”... We’ve moved on with the other store from then on and have really enjoyed our H journey with our current store (so far).

For homeware.. Yes.. I agree with you that the wait time is so long. We placed our order in early Dec’20 and our order just arrived last week! So it’s almost 4 months!

For transfers, should still be considered as spend (as for my case) as I did transfer fine jewelry and my SA said it counts.
But who knows.. ‘cos like what others said.. Sometimes the rules can get confusing!

Hi there! If I’m not wrong, the policy is no exchanges/refunds allowed for quota bags.
May be a bit hard if you had previously requested for a k28 too.

I echo what the rest have said. Best to speak to your SA

Hi, does anyone have advice on how to build rapport with your SA? I've recently started shopping with H @ MBS, but unlike other stores I've shopped at (Dior, Ferragamo, LV etc.), my SA did not contact me by text though he called me with the store mainline (I think) as I received different calls from different numbers over an enquiry to purchase an item.

Would be happy to hear your experiences with your SA!

Hi all, need advice pls

I have one SA at MBS. Has been relatively pleasant but as stock is always very Low there, I couldn’t really get what I want (be it fine jewellery, SLG or watch).

I understand the difficult situation now and the need to be patient. However it got into me when I visited Liat and found out that they have a lot more things! I bought some stuff from there and received the SA’s name card.

I’m wondering what should I do? To stick to the MBS SA or go with this new Liat SA?

thank you!

edit to add that I probably spent about $6k excluding bag at MBS. Not that big an amount to stop me from moving on to others if it is worth it. Thanks @moilesmots for sharing your thought!

Depends how far in the journey you are. I also debated the same in the past but eventually I had spent too much money to change over so I continued

Hello! Agreed with @moilesmots

but also, could it be a case of “the grass is greener on the other side”? It seems like stock level across all stores are pretty low at the moment and it could be a coincidence that Liat had the items you were looking for. Just like how recently MBS had an item I wanted but my usual store didn’t have.

Maybe give it some time? Alternatively, you could ask your MBS SA if he’s willing to request for a transfer of certain items for you since you have a good relationship with him. For fine jewellery, you can order it with him too - think he’ll be more than happy to help

I think the willingness of the SA to help you to, be it 1) look out for items 2) put u on the waitlist 3) request for transfer of items will give you a gauge on whether it is worth it to continue building a profile with them. I don’t see why they are not willing to request for a transfer of items since it is a sale for them unless they are not certain the client will honor their words and buy it once the items has been transferred or maybe there are other factors behind the scene that we don’t know. But for certain, the SA can request for a transfer of items from other boutique unless it is very popular item and transfers are subjected to approval.

hi actually for my case, it didn’t feel like my SA cared even tho I spent 6k+ on my first visit. It took like every week pester text for Smth and if have, actually go buy it and not ask for it and not buy it. + I went to store weekly and made sure to buy the item I requested for. So if you are clear about your motive on not wasting your SA’s time and showing you’re a customer that is ready to drop money Everytime you drop them a text, your SA will also do you a favour and source wtv you want for you +give you priority for harder to come goods.

it’s worth moving on if you find you always can’t get what you want. $6k to an SA or the store is not substantial and won’t help them be “loyal” to you and give you what you request for. If Liat has better stock then it’ll be easier and faster for you to reach you quota

I totally agree on that. I have been asking for a Mini evelyn from my Sa but to no avail. She kept asking me if i’m interested in Roulis instead. Fortunately the Asm helped my hubby to put his name down for a mini evelyn and that’s how i got it. Even now when i ask my SA if there is mini evelyn she still tell me no stock.

Hi all! Been a while since I commented here but just thought I'll give an update on the SA that I mentioned earlier I was building relationship with.
So far, she has really been WONDERFUL!
Can I know what is the colour you requested for your mini E?

so like previously I told you all that I didn't have any spending with her but she somehow remembered and reserved an Aloha black for me last week.
I don't think I spent alot with her last week, the total spent was about 3k only just, Oran + exotic bracelet + aloha, dropped it to her I really wanted a KTG, then she asked me to sms her my wishlist

I whatsapped her a full list of all my wishlist items from big to small, her response was all very fast, even on weekends she also responds very quickly and shes also always friendly, when I ask for availability she answers almost right away.

Anyway, after I sent her the wishlist I didn't follow up with her anymore.... so by yesterday (Thursday) I was getting a bit restless and wondering should I send a followup message or something to remind her of me? And you know what, I didn't even have to do that. I received a message from her on Thursday early noon - sent proactively on her behalf, informing me some items on my wishlist had arrived, we then had a conversation of me asking her of a few other availability and she answering really quickly, and then appointment arranged today (friday) to pick them up.

other than that, a few items on my wishlist taka did not have (the kelly belt) but when I was in MBS earlier in the week they told me they had stock there, so I just simply asked her about it, saying they told me have over there. Today when I go down, she told me she already placed order for the Oran sandals colour I want for me, as well as the belts and some necklaces and when they arrive I would get them.

Again my spending is not alot - today's spending was just 1.6k around there (so in total about 4.6k?). When I dropped her about KTG, she still said the waiting list is real long for that one, but when I asked about Mini E, her response was quite positive and she even ask me the colours I want and from my interaction with her as well as her body language, it looks like she can get the mini E for me soon.
However, I did tell her i actually have a preference for brighter/lighter colours like rose sakura, lime, yellow, this type but that I did not mind gold or black as well. She told me that the brighter/lighter colours are super rare and hard to get, especially craie, but she said gold on gold would not be a problem.

after i left the store i texted her a few more wishlist items and also ask her about some instocks, she was all very prompt in replying.

Then in the evening, she texted me saying the oran sandals in gold she ordered for me has arrived, so I would be picking them up on Monday, along with anything else that might arrive before then.

So, I really think she's wonderful plus I really love dealing with her. But I do not know is it because the items I request for are easier to get? I don't know

But another tip I would say is if possible and if you can, to visit your SA during the off peak hours such as weekday morning / early afternoons. When the store is less busy they are less distracted, have more time with you, you can chat with them more and they can take note and respond to your requests better. But that's because my time is flexible, so I kind of can go down any time I like.
But I would really recommend you do your visits when it is less busy. If you are only able to make it during weekends, then perhaps go right when the store is open, or go late sunday night when it is near to closing, I think those times are less busy

I suppose maybe for the KTG / mini lindy perhaps it would be easier for them to offer me once I have chocked up more spending, but if she is able to help me source the items I want quickly then I would reach the spending soon too already...

I would really recommend you go with the SA you have most rapport with because, I do agree it seems like Liat has the most stock, however if the SA is unresponsive and it is hard to get a response from her, it would also be hard on your journey as even if there is stock, she also does not inform or update you in time. Do note that the SA would have to help you score the hard to get item as well, so the SA is really important....
and it does seem that every outlet has their own stock too since MBS looks like low in stock but actually has kelly belts but taka doesn't have at all...
