Not true, slg only counts 5k max in the quota at mbs
I'm not sure as well, however she did tell me actually different SAs have different ways of counting too and its also different across boutiques but in her case her KTG was counted full amount, and her SA also allow them to count all SLGs into the spending (as long as not bags all can count fully) she also showed me the full list of things she bought before offered, but actually & of course I'm also not sure, but just sharing her case, it might be different also because she clocked the spending last year, and last year and this year there is also a very huge disparity in the demand as well, so there might also have some changes from last year to this year....

i mean for people who would be looking to stick to MBS would like to bear this in mind or check with their SAs first as well......

Alleyinewonderland, I am also impressed that you took so much time to find a suitable SA.. I bought my first Hermes store item at liat towers this morning without making appointment. Went in, asked for a micro T shirt, heard it’s sold out then asked to buy an oran sandals. The lady serving me was middle-aged and quite pleasant throughout. She was surprised when she heard I don’t have a profile yet and offered me her name card when I expressed interest in a mug which is not available. Maybe because I seemed to know what I want to buy already and thought I am seasoned customer lol.. I will see if she is responsive before deciding whether to continue with her.. so far, am comfortable with her service. =) . Hoping all of us will get our dream birkin soon!

Hi all, would like to seek for some advise here, I am new to Hermes, not sure if any of you can recommend a good SA for me to start building the relationship.

I am actually eyeing for a birkin 35 with either noir Togo/ barenia faubourg. Anyone has any idea on the retail price in boutique also the other purchases ratio?

1:1.5? Tbh some SA do give fixed amount some don’t, mine just told me if we are loyal customers, Hermes will also remember that loyalty as well. So we didn’t have a fixed amount lol one day my SA just told me I haven’t told him what colours I wanted for my bag and I knew I hit the quota already ☺
I totally agree with this. My mother's been purchasing from the same SA for +10 years. There are years she gets quota bags and there's no way that's she's spending 1:1.
Some yrs, when she doesn't like the merchandise, she's spending .3:1
But then, we're in the US.

Hi all!! New here! Have been wanting to get a lindy 26 etoupe but seems sooo hard to get it in boutique gave my number at mbs but no calls so far!!((

26 Lindy is quite a popular size, but it is not a quota bag, so you do not have to have a purchase history in order to purchase it. Based on my new experience of shopping at Hermes; They rarely call. Even if you've left your number etc. My hubby back then put down his contact number for a mini Evelyn, and now, I've learnt through the TPF that, when they "take down your number" and will give you a call, that is just a polite way of 1) rejecting, 2) really no stock. He was left waiting for months end, and each time he sees the mini on the reseller instagram or website, he will be like "why they never call me!" and all mock depressed, lol.

I suggest that you walk in regularly, get yourself a SA, then keep asking. Etoupe is one of the classic color, so most likely may have a 26 in that color, however, its really really subjected to availability. Who knows that day would be your lucky day! :)

I have been doing that - leaving name on waitlist for certain bags all over 3 boutiques. It never works
I think even though it is not a quota bag per se, but you need a relationship with an SA that would give you better bargaining power because you need someone on the inside to help you look out and score the bag and keep it aside for you. They are not going to do it for anyone whom they don't have relationship with so in the end, it is you still need to spend and spend and then hope your SA manages to score for you.

On this topic actually, I also wanted to check, if it is recommended you give the SA exact specs or just tell SA any specs would do, would that increase your chances? (for people whom are trying to build profile)

Because like I did tell my SA any colour to increase my chances or to get one faster, but I also note that people say that Hermes system is very fair. For eg, if they have already sold you a mini evelyne this year, it is very unlikely you would be offered the mini evelyne again in the same year, as you have already gotten it, they are very fair and they would give to other customers who have not yet purchased it rather than you if you have purchased it before. So I was just wondering if it is better to just take any colour or to inform exact specs, would it be much harder to get? Thanks.

Hmmm for me, I set the size (K25) and gave a list of preferences for the colours / hardware for the SA to work with (e.g. a neutral green that is not too dark, best with GHW but also OK with PHW). The real question is whether you would indeed be alright with any colour / hardware. I don’t think it would be ideal to the longer-term relationship if you turn down / keep turning down bags that your SA made an effort to secure based on what you told her / him (i.e. any colour / hardware). Not to mean that one must purchase once offered, but I think there is a difference between this and, for example, looking for a neutral green and then turning down a bag that is in a brighter green than preferred.

Of course for big ticket items such as K or B it has to be exact specs

I am asking regarding non quota items that are difficult to get but on waitlist sort ie. mini evelyne, mini lindy, KTG, so on.

Thanks.

In my personal experience, I find it a lot easier to just let my SA know which colours, colour families or hardware I won't accept. Because the gamut of combinations is very wide. It helps if your SA is familiar with your lifestyle or how you typically dress.

back when I didn't have an SA yet and I just walked in and then told the SA I want to be on waitlist for KTG, she at first did ask me like what type of colours I want or what I wouldn't want, then like when I was slightly stumped and wondering exactly what I don't want, she then proceeded to tell me that for this better to be any colour then also inform la, because she say this one very hard to score and then if want to choose colour some more, very hard...

But even though in the end i told her ok any colour also can inform, I also doubt that she would call me when it arrives cos like they said the waiting list is very very very long for this now.
