Silly question but - has anyone scratched off the oxen on the H hong bao? :giggle:

(I'm not Chinese, so I was really perplexed when my kiddos asked if they could scratch off the ox when they saw the envelopes. Husband had to explain to me what the characters at the bottom meant. But he's forbidden us from scratching one off until he's done up his hong bao list...)

I’m very tempted to scratch to see what it reveals (I’m guessing it would be Chinese words since there are 4) but am going to wait until I give it and will ask the kid to scratch so as not to waste the angbao!

I assumed it's for 'regulars'... my SA passed it to me discreetly (in its own paper bag) away from the queue at the till. (Maybe I'm just presumptuous though heh)

Hello to all the regulars! Quick question, can I check if my spending will be reset if I haven't purchased in more than a year? Or will they keep my purchase history so long as I have a profile?

Mine passed me very discreetly as well.

I was at the store to purchase some RTW. She didn’t put it into my paper bag as my spouse was still trying other stuffs when I was making payment for my own items. Instead, she discreetly passed us when we were finally exiting the store. :giggle:

I’m not sure if I’m considered regular as I started purchasing locally only late last year. Spouse and I have been at the store at least 3 times a month and clocking purchases every visit though.. :biggrin:
