Does anyone have any updated advice on how to buy, or have any success in buying a Birkin 35 in Singapore recently? Would love to get an update as I've been slowly trying to build a profile at the store at Liat Towers.

Does anyone know how much a Birkin 30 Togo in Singapore? I am first timer into Hermes. Is it very difficult to get it in Singapore? Thank you.

I don't live in Singapore, but I imagine the process of scoring a Birkin there is similar to Hong Kong. You'll need to build a solid relationship with a SA and aim to spend around 1:1 ratio for a B30, more for a B25 and less for a B35. The smaller the bag, the more desirable it is.

hi all, may i just check with you who had experience buying from H reseller - i am viewing/comparing some local reseller ( with physical stores) with brand new H items since some items are so difficult to score in H stores. May i find out what are questions do you normally zoom in enquiring a listed item stating New/Brand New? Pardon me if this is a noob question. *Totally clueless* :confused1:

I usually purchase from Luxlexicon. When you purchase from resellers its trusting the person behind it more so than anything. Go with the reseller that gives you a good feel.

There is nothing much to enquire if the item is new / brand new except that some resellers may pass off items that have been lightly use as brand new - again back to the trust mention above. This you have to DYOD when you pick up the item in store!

I would ask the reseller to show me the stamp of the bag, even is it is already listed on the product listing. This is to prevent any unhappy surprises once you get home as human mistakes can occur.

You should also check that all protective stickers are intact. However, bear in mind for bags like kellys, the sticker on the front turn lock may not be 100% completely intact as the original buyer will open and check the bag, and then when the bag is brought to the reseller, he/she will open the bag again to check again so that will rub off parts of the sticker on the turn lock. So we need not be unduly bothered by it unless the sticker is totally off which shouldn’t be the case.

I’ve bought brand new bags from resellers which comes with crappy wrapping paper, old dustbags (swapped by original buyer or reseller I don’t know but so cheapskate to do so) and lost ribbons. At the end of the day after the excitement wears off our boxes will get dusty/mouldy, dustbags will get washed and we will lose our ribbons and even receipts but seriously much can be done to improve the ‘bringing home a brand new bag’ experience. You may or may not get a lovely orange paper bag too haha.

I will also be careful of ‘brand new kept unused’ bags which could be sitting in closets for years. You should check/smell for any signs of mould.

Thank you both for the tips & insights! Helpful tips to take note during bag viewing! :)
