I do not think its worth while to come to Paris to buy a Birkin (Paris / europe is not a cheap city and its a very long flight), but it is certainly worth it to buy a Birkin if you are in Paris.

I know someone who works for SIA and she always buys a bag each time she comes here, sometimes 6 to 7 bags! But for such an expensive bag, would you rather get the bag you want rather than any Birkin that is available just becuase it is cheaper?

Oh well, decide to go Tokyo next month to buy my first birkin...
SQ air ticket to Japan promotion just ended... Ay! LOL
Better to trust myself.
So the birkin30 i want can be found in the Hermes stores?
I am not fussy on colour and leather. Just want a silver hardware.
Do I had to look around all boutiques for different choices?
Getting excited.... :)

You can fly by Northwest. They had a S$476 nett return promotion.

I wish you luck.

I am as excited as you. I failed to get a place on the flight to Paris, thus I am entering from London. My ticket to London is confirmed!

It will again be the most extravagant month of my life after May 2009.
I am flying into London in SQ A380 and return to Singapore SQ 777-300ER First Class. Fly time flying in non economy. So excited.

Hope that I am equally fortunate to score my first Birkin in Paris.

I shall be on shopping ban for long after this trip. Super sinful to have spent so much money this 2 months.

Well.. once in a life time experience... just let be a spoilt princess again this month....

please..........

hi mina

i was in tokyo in apr, the SA told me they have a lot of 30cm, as this is the most popular sizing for Japanese. They have a wider variety of leather, colour for 30cm compare to 35cm. If you want exotic, you can give them a call few days in advance, they will try to source for you. The lady that serve me was very helpful and really nice:) The Ginza store has the most stock, located just behind Sony building.

I also saw ready stock birkin in Takashimaya. I am sure you will be able to find something you like. Good luck.
;)

Hi ladies, kindly advise on whether is it possible for the Hermes stores in Singapore to transfer items e.g. small accessories from Hermes boutiques in US? If yes, what's the procedure like?

Thanks in advance!!

If you are talking about transferring SLG's like how we would transfer from Liat to Taka, then no, I don't think they can do that.

The other alternative is to ask an SA to do a global search for you, and if it is available anywhere in the world (and if that store wants to release it), then the SG stores can bring it in for you. Depending on what you want and whether or not you have a current relationship with the store, they may or may not ask for an initial deposit.

^ Thanks for your valuable input! Maybe shouldn't have used the word 'store transfer' when i called up the store at Liat and thus got a negative reply..:p Will try to call again and ask them if they will assist to 'bring it in' for me since i've already located the item in the US.

Thanks again!! :flowers:

I just bought this Birkin 35 Prune Clemence GHW from FSH at 5650 EURO, after VAT is 5090EURO, at the exchange rate of about 2.05now, it is about S$10,434.50. Singapore is selling at $14,100 and has a waiting list of 2 years.

I bought many other H items from Hermes sales in Paris, which is about 50%-70% Singapore retail price.

Is there a reason why the US store won't ship it to you directly? I know several SG ladies have managed to get stuff sent to them from US stores, so you might wanna try asking about that.

The thing about asking H here to bring it in is that if the other store doesn't want to release it (even though you know they have it in stock), then there is nothing our local stores can do.

Been eyeing the Evelyne III GM, was SGD4,250 just a week or two ago. When I call on Fri, it is SGD4,600 now

My savings has to accumulate faster than their price hike :shrugs:
