An anecdotal review of all 3 city stores and T3 store from a tourist point of view.

I visited in Feb during odd hours and stores were not too busy. I told the security at the door that I was just browsing as not to bother any SA and I said if I needed anything, I would let them know. In all three stores, someone approached me without prompting and helped me try some shawls and fashion jewelleries. All were nice and helpful.

I did come in not wanting any kind of bags but just to browse as I love looking at the different offerings in different H stores around the world. In Liat, they didn’t allow me to even touch a Calvi Duo on display without a relationship (His manager didn’t allow him). Same in T3: in Dec I was allowed to buy a calvi duo only after I bought a man's scarf not available in my home store.

I met an amazing senior SA at MBS. He approached me when I squealed after I found a hiding rabbit tie in reverse colour to my husband's tie. I bought the tie and we got talking about heritage leather and how hard it was to get. He was so generous with his knowledge. I could chat with him all day

My shopping experience was pleasant and enjoyable and I was treated well. I don’t think clothing matters as I was in H&M shorts, COS top and converse sneakers (did carry my K32 SO). Maybe I was lucky or naive but my point is, if I were a local, I would have been very comfortably shopping in all 3 city store as service was professional and not scary at all.

ETA: apparently, l'artificier also lives at the Liat store.

Thanks for this. The question of spending vs not spending while waiting for QB has been on my mind. My store doesn’t allow rollover while waiting, but l was thinking if the wait is more than 6 months, without spending, just cold turkey radio silence? Will sa forget about us and feel less incentivised to help get our desired bag? Also, although the store doesn’t allow rollover, my previous sa(who has since retired) said she will help request for 2nd QB(k or b) after only an additional 10k+\- spend after receiving 1st QB. So ‘it depends’ is such an unsatisfying answer on this thread but it really does depend!
Edited to add: in reference to Daosabao’s post #16709

Thanks for your insight! As a local living overseas...through the pandemic I was opened to the world of H and been shopping with my local SA here and have also purchased some items from the SG trusted resellers like Luxlexicon, Brands SG & Love Lots Luxury which have no doubt been fuss free and amazing so Im definitely looking forward to actually visit their actual stores when I finally visit in a few weeks (4 years in the making due to we know what) and already have some items I have paid which I plan to pick up

The H prices in SG are pretty pricey compared to AU due to the recent increase so Im planning to only browse..even purchasing at the airport with no GST still work out super expensive... I plan to visit all the stores in SG to check out the range and just immerse myself in the H world as my stores here are not so big....I hope I will also have a pleasant (window) shopping experience in SG:smile:...never know what you will find haha!! I know stock in SG is very scarce as I have helped friends in SG purchase items available on the AU online store / physical to send back to them.

Anyone knows if we can just walk in to just pick up a rodeo or Pegasus bag charm? No spending profile yet. TIA!
Yes same answer as the rest.. My SA said usually you can buy a rodeo or pegasus only when you buy your QB. So recently when I bought my kelly 25 from the store i bought a pegasus also. I want a so black pegasus but that is very hard to come by. Even if they do have rodeos and pegasus on display, they are usually not for sale. Agree with the others that if you are not on track to get a QB anytime soon, best to just buy from the resellers.

@Mapoon I concur with your observations on price: SG prices are somewhat higher although for some unknown reasons, the man's 100x100 I bought in T3 was much cheaper than the price in my store in Europe. Calvi duo without GST was same price.

I too visited some resellers (Luxlexicon and Lecrin both at Palais Renaissance) to try out models and sizes and also to see what they’re all about. Singaporeans are lucky to have access to these resellers to gauge the products before buying.

Enjoy SG! I miss it already ;)

Hello!
Im wondering if anyone got a pico 22 recently? and do you think that it’s more difficult to get a 22 than an 18? I love my 18 in so black, but want a bigger one in any neutral color. Im hoping to get a pico from a walk in (even tho it might be soooo difficult lol) TIA

I went with a friend to Taka on Friday 3 March, we went really late like 830 PM and they close at 930 PM. My friend bought a pair of Paris loafers and I told her to try her luck and just ask for the non QBs so we literally asked for every bag we could think of that were non QBs. They had 1 picotin 22 in GOLD colour and silver hardware.. Of course she bought it on the spot. They did not have any in the loops - SA said that they only received display pieces so far, selling pieces are not in yet. They also did not have any bolides, Jypsieres, herbags, lindys, halzans etc. The SA thought she had a GB 36 but when she went in to get it, it was gone. LOL. So i think my friend was quite lucky to get a paris loafer in her size and a picotin 22 from a walk in. Her purchase history was a oran sandals before this. But she went with another lady and myself. The other lady has a purchase history of about 10K and I have already gotten 1 QB and recently submitted for another QB. We do go quite often and the SAs (not our SAs) do recognize us from time to time. Good luck getting a picotin 22!

:hugs:I have mentioned this to my AU SA and he suggests maybe it's the luxury tax on certain brands as in dollar value Chanel / LV (some items) are priced cheaper. With the weak AUD, the price difference can be even more :smile:but wierdly silks are similar priced... Yes it's nice to have brick and mortar resellers to check out the styles etc and sometimes maybe get a good deal instead of waiting as some colours (apart from the permanent colours like noir, gold, etoupe) just never seem to reappear.

Thank you so much in advance!! I havent started to pack but once I start...it will all start to feel exciting!! I only dread the weather heee....
