Wow, this is interesting. Thanks so much for sharing your story.
Thing is, my SA didn't even want to help me indicate interest for a mini kelly. Told me just put the B25 that I mentioned after she said no chance of a mini kelly.
It’s possible but can’t force your way through. Reason is to manage expectations. When my wife qb was approved, it was for a k25. Sa said k20 not possible.. couple of months later and rejection of 3 qb offers due to specs off.. sa said k20 is fine.

Thanks for your advice! Did you establish 2 profiles using 2 different phone numbers? But same SA? Or 2 different stores, 1 same number?
One profile is my family member and other one is me. Same SA and of course different phone number. Same store
So when I was waiting for my QB under my account. i still gg to Store and spend on my family member profile, after spending, I would try to ask her about my QB when it would come, why so long etc etc. i couldn't just at home and waiting for it come without spending or visit my SA.

This makes me question how safe & reliable it is buying from resellers, especially coz it involves two big resellers with physical stores. How do they go about doing in-house authentication.
precisely the reason why i decided to go store route instead of the reseller route even though i feel that reseller route could be really easier and even cheaper

well, long story short, lexicon provided certification service to customer as requested but another reseller that sold the bag is unhappy with the outcome of lexicon certification.

i bought vintage K28 from lexicon back in 2021 and brough it to Liat for repair and hardware changes at Paris. It is back ready for collection now. all is good.

I love seeing customers also at the store. Once, my sister and I saw a customer with her SA and they were chit chatting for about half an hour, and the customer left without buying anything. So out of curiosity, I asked my SA if the customer did not find anything she liked. My SA said "Oh, she spends about 50k a month, and just comes by regularly to chit chat with her SA".

And once I saw an old couple too, they picked up a faubourg 20 in black.....omg. So I said "wow". They said, it was for their daughter's 30th!
Amazing profiles...

50k a month for luxury only  so that is where all the stocks go to  i dun dare to step in chit chat with sa liao hahahaha dun waste SA time

oh another post earlier mentioned about exclusive access to store for VIP only, didnt know this exist!!!

old couple bought fauborg 30 for theirs daughter 30th !!!! what else she could wish for !! just kidding

I have recently started on my H journey, and while I have told my SA that I prefer taking it slow & buying only something I like, do y’all think I should still purchase something small every 1-2 months even if what I like (not bags) has no stocks?

I want to establish a long term profile but do not want my SA to think I am not interested anymore if I stop purchasing for a period of time at the start.

Me: mid 20s & my eventual goal is getting a QB

Can you be waitlisted for the things you like and visit the boutique when they arrive? On your question, I think you have to ask yourself if you are comfortable spending money on small things you don’t really like every 1-2 months even if it means eating into what you want to put towards other financial goals, or resulting in having to stretch yourself to buy what you like when they become available. No need to reply here, I know these are v personal questions :) I think you can decide how to proceed based on your answer.

From what more experienced members have shared, each journey is different but just to share from another H newbie’s POV (I started shopping in 2H 2022 after reading many pages of this thread and asking members for advice, recently submitted 1st QB request for approval), I think SAs understand we have other things to do with our time and money and different clients have different spending capacities and tempos (within reasonable limits if you want a QB, apparently the profile resets if there are 0 purchases for around 1 year?). My SA knows I’m not a taitai, I work full time XD. I don’t buy things I don’t like, I’m open to recommendations from my SA and have bought items I had not previously considered when I really like them, they suit me, and I’m financially comfortable buying it. I’ve bought more items from their makeup range on return visits when I ended up really loving the products recommended. I’ve politely declined suggested items when I don’t really like them and informed my SA I would rather wait for other designs I like to be restocked or when we can finally place deposits again.

TLDR, I think one should be open to explore and buy other items outside their wishlist as there are a lot of beautiful things to discover, BUT only if they like the recommended items and are financially comfortable buying them. If an SA only wants big spenders as clients, unless you have the capacity and willingness to spend at that kind of tempo, the relationship is unlikely to work out anyway.

I think it depends on the degree of risk you are willing to bear. I have bought a limited edition Kelly released more than 10 years ago from a less well-known reseller as the resale market is the only way I could get that bag. Don’t think it is a particularly popular design to have been widely faked, and passed bbbb’s authentication, but I know there is still a slight possibility it might be a superfake. I was willing to take the risk for this bag, but for other specs I want, I have decided to try and obtain them from the boutique, since I do like a lot of their other products.

Thank you so much for the advise & sharing your experience  I will think carefully about how I want to walk my H journey

My SA do know my wishlist but I am not sure if she waitlisted me to the items haha. I am open to recommendations & love to check out new items at the store but I am just afraid of wasting my SA time if I don’t purchase anything during my visit. I haven’t really looked at their makeup range yet but I would surely do so for my next visit.

Also, lastly with regards to deposits, I have seen from members experience here that they sometimes end up getting the item even later than others who did not made an deposit/endless waiting time etc.. So this also made me slightly worried about doing so. /: but of course this brings back to each individual’s comfort level whether to do so then

That sounds like a good plan. At least you can still see this SA and continue spending. Thanks for sharing!

Does your family member has to be physically there when you make the purchases under his/her name? It’s an interesting idea which I may pitch to my SA and see if she is open to it..

Wow a very lovely gift for a daughter's 30th!! So blessed!
