Can you be waitlisted for the things you like and visit the boutique when they arrive? On your question, I think you have to ask yourself if you are comfortable spending money on small things you don’t really like every 1-2 months even if it means eating into what you want to put towards other financial goals, or resulting in having to stretch yourself to buy what you like when they become available. No need to reply here, I know these are v personal questions

I think you can decide how to proceed based on your answer.
From what more experienced members have shared, each journey is different but just to share from another H newbie’s POV (I started shopping in 2H 2022 after reading many pages of this thread and asking members for advice, recently submitted 1st QB request for approval), I think SAs understand we have other things to do with our time and money and different clients have different spending capacities and tempos (within reasonable limits if you want a QB, apparently the profile resets if there are 0 purchases for around 1 year?). My SA knows I’m not a taitai, I work full time XD. I don’t buy things I don’t like, I’m open to recommendations from my SA and have bought items I had not previously considered when I really like them, they suit me, and I’m financially comfortable buying it. I’ve bought more items from their makeup range on return visits when I ended up really loving the products recommended. I’ve politely declined suggested items when I don’t really like them and informed my SA I would rather wait for other designs I like to be restocked or when we can finally place deposits again.
TLDR, I think one should be open to explore and buy other items outside their wishlist as there are a lot of beautiful things to discover, BUT only if they like the recommended items and are financially comfortable buying them. If an SA only wants big spenders as clients, unless you have the capacity and willingness to spend at that kind of tempo, the relationship is unlikely to work out anyway.
