Bah humbug! I’m waiting on 2 pricey FJ (deposits made) and a special QB. Ka-ching-ching going through my mind now.. all the price increases in 2023. I’m fully expecting them to stream in 2023 and I don’t wanna see the bill anymore.

19 months is crazy! You didn’t think of giving up and asking for the deposit to be used for other items?

I was told last year sep that it would be soon to arrive. Then when it had not, I was told it was worth waiting for. Because nobody else will have it.

Oh my! Was it stated in the T&C? I thought putting deposit allows you to lock in the price. I have put deposits on quite a number of items

So, what’s the benefit for paying a deposit again?

Anyway, most of these FJ are not cheap and buying 1 or 2 pieces with a couple more trinklets easily get one to 1:1.5 or 1:2. Always have the option to build a relationship elsewhere if chance upon ready stock.

I am still waiting for my kelly gourmette...and same, I saw a lady picked up one when I visited the store, asked my SA, he said the client got lucky because the size was available...what a BS. the wrist of the lady was sh.

i was told they stopped taking in PO for Kelly Gourmette and it will be discontinued. Also was told it was because after last year's Kelly High Jewelry exhibition brought on a surge of PO and H couldn't keep up.

They could not keep up is their own problem. There is no reason for some to get it earlier than others. And, if they could not fulfill, the decent thing to do is to propose alternatives by a certain reasonable time frame. Not brushing customers off. So that the loyalty and niceness in the relationship is not just 1 way.

I can understand your frustration. I was looking to buy 3 to 4 FJ pieces this year, and was prepared for a long wait (3-6 months) as they were popular models. But I wasn't asked to place a deposit as they were below 10k. Just had to join the queue for them.
Surprisingly, I waited less than a month for 2 of them (even my SA said I was so lucky), bought 1 of them during a random walk-in visit and lost interest in the last one so I told my SA to remove me from the queue.
I noticed that my SA has all along (gently) nudged me away from the categories that require a deposit. E.g tableware, custom watches, FJ more than 10k. Maybe I look too poor haha.
