It’s not because it’s holiday or the demand. They have taken too much deposits that could not be fulfilled. By the time they could fulfill it, the price had been adjusted and to them they had an “opportunity cost” because they could have charged higher. To be fair, the raw materials prices had gone up. But they did not recognised that customers also faced an opportunity cost since they don’t pay interests on the deposits taken (many had paid 100% deposit as well as the standard 50%).

There is the price increase in July for jewellery if anyone noticed.
The bigger sized watches for higher price.
The additional silly mirror in Constance 24-1 and mini for higher price.
Prices have gone up for sure! Thank goodness it’s not as crazy as Chanel’s multiple jumps.

The lack of stock has helped to regulate our end-year spending, which isn’t a bad thing ladies.

And this year, I’ve also taken a more que sera sera approach with H. Whether it’s QB1, QB2 or SO, que sera sera.

preorders likely to resume in 2023, when new GST and price adjustments kick in...but i believe H learnt its lesson not to take in too many POs such that they are unlikely to fulfill all within the year so i think if you want to PO, do it as soon as it is availble to do so.

I think they should not take deposits.
It’s very unfair to the customers to have money tied up with no horizon when the POs are fulfilled. They are not even custom made items.
I have an opposing view. I rather have the option of placing a deposit to secure what I really want (and wait patently) to build my H collection and H profile.

Without such a system, it’s gonna be first come first served, provided your SA remembers you and pings you when stocks arrive. You may not be on the top 20 list I cannot deal with the ambiguity.

There’s no right of wrong here. We just have differing views and it’s ok.

I agree as well on each comments and also, each H experience is unique and really can be depressing at times...
I wanted to buy a few watches..and guess what? no stocks! my SA refused to sell me anything and even said they stopped accepting deposits...and the sad part was, I spoke to some SAs trying to "fish", and two of them said they had asked for deposits for watches but wait is long.....and my SA said the opposite!
so I missed out on a few new watches...what can I do? so I am stuck eyeing homeware or just blankets

My SA told me that they have stopped taking orders for watches / Jewelry etc till further notice. Guess it’s because it’s holiday season and demand is at an all time high
Not only watches/FJ, even for furniture as well. I wanted to place deposit for a chair as I understand it is made-to-order but SA told me they have been instructed to pause deposits till further notice. I’m guessing it may be due to upcoming gst increase and price adjustments.

have to go often and then check stock each time..... i had placed a PO on a FJ, waited for 11+ months, and in between, I saw on IG someone picked up the same bracelet by chance at the store.

I believe they can deploy the q system which they do for bags and other small stuff.

I can also wait patiently for the item even if I am number 1500, without paying a single cent in deposit. If I am unable to collect within 3 days, then they pass on me and the item goes to the next customer in line. That’s what I think is fair for everyone.

Did you feedback to your SA?

There were a couple of times I saw such thing happening and I told my SA. I have been waiting for my FJ item for 19 months already.

The worse thing is I saw post to sell the item and asked how the wait was. Was told 2 weeks.
