Oh wow - would have never figured! Thanks so much, I also had one more question about a certain "Luna park" cashmere shawl... I believe the colours had orange and beige and the ribbons were pale blue and teal - would you happen to know about it?

I am not sure I understand the question? Which colorway are you referring to?

I have a scarf that I bought before I knew anything about Hermes. I think it was in a duty-free. But now I have seen the light and have started slowly collecting these wonderful treasure. It is a Trophees de Venise in colorway 07. It's the same as the grail scarf that A-T-G was gifted. I am trying to find out the names of the colors that Hermes used to describe it and its design number. It came out in Fall 2001. It is in the booklet posted in tpf but the pictures online do not give the number. I think of it as taupe and grey but I am sure that Hermes has much nicer sounding names for the colors.

I have a second scarf (also bought before enlightenment) that is a Torana but I have never seen the colors online. It is in pale pink and greys. Again, any details would be great such as year, colorway number and name of colors. I really can't remember the occasion.

This is my first post, so hopefully I've found the correct forum to ask this. If not, could you direct me to the correct place. Also I haven't worked out how to post pics yet.:smile1:

Welcome to the Hermes forum, we look forward to your posts in other threads in the future.

The scarves you are asking about . . . Hermes did NOT have SKU tags attached to caretags giving the colors as they do now. You will have to apply to H for them.

As for the design numbers, I am away from my reference booklets so cannot look them up now. Maybe someone else can help out?

Thank you for your reply, Seton, and your welcome. I'll wait to see if there is anyone with a booklet close by who can help on the design number. And then I will email Hermes about the names of the colors. I didn't realise the tags were a new invention.

Hi Seton,

I am just getting my feet wet in the world of Hermes...and I am hoping you can help me with whatever information you may have on these scarves.

The first one I bought in 2010 at the Hermes boutique in Seattle. I did not think to keep the little tag with the name at the time.

The second one I bought Thursday in Beverly Hills and did not think to ask the SA if she knew the history of the scarf. The tag says Festival and the colorway (?) is navy.

Thanks so much!!!

Hello there :smile1: Glad you are dipping into these waters.

Your first scarf is Mors et Gourmettes by Henri d'Origny, same artist as your Festival. Your version is the reprint from 2008. The design depicts renaissance bits and curb chains. This design has also been reissued this spring with a different background as Mors et Gourmettes Remix.

Your second scarf is a reprint from Fall 2013. It used to be called just Festival when it was first introduced in 1992 but is now called Festival des Amazones. Dunno why.
Anyway, I am posting the romance literature from hermes.com for you as well as the 1992 scarf booklet on the original Festival:
